Monthly Grocery with My Brother and A Sudden Bipolar Weather!

Hello, everyone! A lot of things got me busy last week that I'm only having the time to write about my monthly grocery shenanigans.

Surprisingly, my brother was also at the same mall to do groceries when I went to do mine. I thought it was only my imagination when I saw him driving his motorcycle and turning towards the entrance of the mall. While paying for our internet bill, I got a message from him asking me if I am also at the mall. He laughed when I told him that I saw him outside driving.

He accompanied me to pay our electric bill next then we both agreed to eat lunch first before doing our groceries. I had pork barbecue in thick slices which I had been craving to eat unlike the ones sold on the streets.

After that, we went to the pharmacy to purchase some vitamins and medicine before getting our pushcarts for grocery shopping. We separated as soon as we entered the grocery to save time.

He was done a few minutes before me and went to the meat section where I was. After getting the meats I need, we pushed our carts to the cashier area. However, when we turned at a corner, one of the bottles of food flavoring slid out the cart and dropped on the floor. A person walking towards us was also surprised and immediately picked the tiny bottle to return it to me. I thanked him and checked the bottle for any cracks. Thank goodness the bottle was free of damage so I placed it back into the cart. I thought I would be paying for a broken item in case the bottle broke. Yikes!

Since my brother only brought his motorcycle, I suggested that he put his other groceries at the tricycle I'm riding. The fare will be the same anyway.

A few meters after we got out of the mall, the driver turned to a gas station and told me that he'll just add some air in one of the tires. You'll see here that the weather was very sunny.

But around 10 minutes later, a heavy rain poured that we have to take shelter first before we proceed traversing the road. While waiting for the rain to subside, the driver attached some cover around the tricycle to protect us from rain. And I was surprised when he handed me this tarpaulin and instructed me to use it to cover my legs and feet.

You know, I felt like I was riding those rickshaw in Asakusa where they give a piece of cloth to the people riding to cover their legs.

The stop took a couple of minutes. My brother was already home when I arrived. I asked him if he got caught with the rain. He laughed and said he sped up when he felt an impending rain was about to pour.

Despite the seemingly bipolar weather that day and a little stopover, I was glad to do groceries again with my brother. I can't remember the last time we went there together. I got to eat lunch with someone as well and talked about a lot of things, even about election. Rainy season is approaching, my only wish on my next monthly grocery shopping is to not get caught with the rain again.
