A Quick Trip to The Mall

Good evening! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I took a few months of hiatus to rest to refocus and declutter physically and digitally. I'm very much overwhelmed of the files I have to sort out, especially my digital files. I guess it might take until next year to finish it. Lol. Anyway, I'm finally catching up with my posts. Here it goes.

Just like on the previous All Saints' Day, I make sure to cook foods for my mother. I plan the menu months ahead but my lazy self only had the motivation to go to shop for the ingredients a day before the holiday.

I went around lunch time on the mall at a nearby city. The popular restaurants were crowded and thankfully, the grocery had only few people around. Lucky! There was also a Tamiya event near the entrance. I've noticed that there has been some Tamiya events at the malls here in our province lately. Is Tamiya making a comeback?

I headed to the poultry section first to get some chicken wings. The chicken meat didn't look very fresh unlike on the other grocery store where I usually shop. Yikes!

Then I circled the fruits and vegetables looking for the vegetables I have on my list. Unfortunately, it didn't have all the vegetables I need. Meanwhile, I noticed that they have lots of yogurt, cheese, coffee, and ice cream options. I was tempted to get some but I remembered that I'm on a budget and convinced myself that I'll just try them next time.

After the perishables, I shopped for the other things I needed. I only shopped little because I only have two hands and I still needed to purchase a roll cake.

Despite with only few items, the shopping bag was still heavy. Ugh! I went up next to purchase a roll cake. The cake and pastry shop only had a small store at this mall and was quite hidden so I had to circle the entire second floor twice. Lol.

It's Christmas season again but it seems like the spirit of Christmas doesn't feel as grand as before due to the earthquakes on different parts of the country.

And finally, I found the store! However, I was saddened when I found out that they only sell breads on this branch.

There were only few options but I'm glad they have ensaymada. They have the best ensaymada in the city, in my opinion.

I got box of ensaymada and pineapple bread. I tasted the pineapple bread first and reserved the ensaymada for the holiday. Well, the pineapple bread was good but the pineapple topping was only few. If they could be generous with the topping then I think this would be a hit!

And that's all! I'm also surprised to see the total amount of my groceries. I wonder what 7 has for me that day.

Do you also carry your bags on one hand just so the other hand is free? Haha. My wrist hurt a lot on this photo!
