Weekly playlist time - Now trying to find some classic pop

Introduction

We like to do currated playlists and also we are featured in hundreds of playlists on Spotify and wanted to higlight a few. We are always looking for suggestions for our playlist, so if you have a good idea then post a link to spotify in the comments!

This weeks playlist is all about Classic Pop which has so many songs and is not an easy genre to cover, what is classic pop? I mean there has been pop music for a long time, so what makes it classic. We might need to sub divide this genre to decades as other wise it is big. Now we seemed to have drifted into early 00's pop so we might have to start sooner than we thought dividing it into decades. We only just started this playlist so if you have a good suggestion then let us know in the comments!

Now quite old but when Mika came onto the pop scene with his Queen inspired music and high levels of musical training his first album really bought something new.

Another song from a similar time the Ting Tings came up with this instantly singable song! I mean if you want catchy then this is it!

Ok this is from a legend now and this song does it all! The boy has moves too and is still making some top pop as we speak!

Lets take it back a bit further, their first album on reflection and listening to it is actually fantastic and was a pleasent surprise.

Someone that has lyrically and in her style of delivery been an inspiration. Lilly Allen came up with some top tunes but also with a real social commentary and meaning, just love her.
