The poetry of song lyrics...fight against suicide...

Introduction

It is nice to reflect and share lyrics, it makes us consider what we were actually writing about. Now this is a hard one for me to write about this is one of the first songs I wrote after the death of my son Django. It was a difficult and challenging time. Although I remember at the time telling myself that if we could come through this then nothing else really mattered and it changed my attitude to life very profoundly.

This is song is about a dialogue with myself, and not a very pleasant one. In the darkest of days you can be your own worst enemy. that voice that tells you to do bad things....this is a song standing firm to those deep suicidal thoughts that can happen. I doubt many people would read the song like that, but there you go, it is what it is! I feel like I won that fight and came out stronger!
