Some Haikus called Winter

Introduction

We thought we would start writing and exploring poetry forms every week. Writing poetry and song lyrics an playing with words is always something we have liked doing so we thought why not do some more! So two of us are writing poems every week and we will see how it goes! Today I have tried 4 Haikus for the first time an picked a theme of winter. @stickupmusic is doing it too and it is nice to use Hive to do creative things together.

Poetry form

This week we are looking at the Haiku

This is the definition by google: A haiku is a traditional Japanese poem consisting of three lines with 5, 7, and 5 syllables, respectively, often focusing on nature and a specific moment in time

Title: Winter

Winter towers

White towers growing
No more sun shining
Cold breathes windy days

Winter light

Blinded by white light
Frozen by the marching cold
Only stillness here

Winter famine

Small food or hunger
Stomachs reduce in rash fear
Empty barrel screams

Thank you very much for reading and all comments are greatly appreciated!
