Rising star weekly update and unpicking some of the cards!

Introduction

We thought we would do a weekly update on what we are up to and how we are doing on Rising Star. Everything is going along nicely. We have the new Easter things out at the moment which we talked about last week. Hive was 4 years old last week and pretty soon it will be Rising Stars 4th birthday too! We are expecting a special card like the previous Cake energy cards.....but we hear that this year it is not a cake, so what is it gonna be?

Our progress so far

We are currently in position 16th on the leader board and are holding strong. We stopped buying cards for a bit to stock up on Star Pro as we know we will need it later and it will probably only get more expensive as the supply runs out!

Unpicking some of the cards

This week we thought we would unpick some of the writing on the cards. I think those of us that love collecting cards so much are always on the lock out for the best puns or musical references on the cards so it is nice to share them, just in case you did not know the references!

Ok, first one is a nice and easy one as it is a film reference to Forest Gump

It is a great film and definitely worth the watch!

Ok nice to have a booze related pun, don't drink much Whisky here but I hear it is pretty good!

Now we have a good old dad pun with "Jack of all trades and master of none" a well know phrase!

Now we have this multi layered card both royalty and music royalty reference. Refering of course to Prince William and the genius that was Prince!

Nice to say a nod to the legendary Amp Maker among other things Jim Marshall! Marshall amps are very awesome if you play guitar that is for sure, and some go up to 11.

Probably one of our favourite puns of recent cards, as we love us some Synths!

Another dad pun about err braiding hair....@risingstargame Jux I also hear people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!

Nice to have a nod to South America in this card from Chillie!
