Sea Turtles are beautiful / Le tartarughe di mare sono meravigliose [ENG/ITA]

Gili Meno. There are three Gili Islands and we stay on the largest of these.

Today, however, we decided to take a boat trip to the second smallest: Gili Meno.

In fact, this one does not have hotels or resorts like the older sister but only a few small docking points, a couple of restaurants and many bars to have a drink and beach me.

Our goal was to do some snorkelling and we agreed to do three stages:

• stop at a turtle spot

• stop at the submerged statues

• stop for blue corals

After that lunch and relaxation on the beach.

The sea was an eventful hair, at least for what we Italians are used to. Getting on and off the boat gave us some problems, but we always managed in the end.

We have seen several sea turtles. Both during all three stops and then on shore when we saw a shelter for the care of baby turtles.

The stop at the submerged statues was beautiful, but challenging for the number of tourists present in the water. Perhaps they should review access to this site which has nothing historical, but only a tourist attraction.

The blue corals instead magnificent, the whole seabed around Gili Meno is a unique marine spectacle, full of life.

We had lunch overlooking the sea in a small restaurant. The background in front of me was that of the celestial sea. Then relax first on the beach, followed by a swim in the blue waters and relax in the room.

The best thing about the day is the 5 sea turtles I've seen and their little sisters in the shelter.

Gili Meno. Le isole Gili sono tre e noi soggiorniamo sulla più grande di queste.
Oggi però abbiamo deciso di fare una escursione in barca verso la seconda più piccola: Gili Meno.

Questa infatti non ha alberghi o resort come la sorella maggiore ma solo qualche piccolo punto di attracco, un paio di ristorantini e tanti baracchini per bere qualcosa e spiaggiarmi.

Il nostro obiettivo era quello di fare un po’ di snorkeling e abbiamo concordato per fare tre tappe:

• sosta a uno spot di tartarughe
• sosta alle statue sommerse
• sosta per i coralli blu
  Dopodiché pranzo e relax in spiaggia.

Il mare era un pelo movimentato, almeno per quello a cui siamo abituati noi italiani. Salire e scendere dalla barca ci ha dato qualche problema, ma siamo sempre riusciti alla fine.
Di tartarughe marine ne abbiamo viste diverse. Sia durante tutte e tre le soste che poi a riva quando abbiamo visto un rifugio per la cura delle baby tartarughe.

La sosta alle statue sommerse è stata bella, ma impegnativa per il numero di turisti presenti in acqua. Forse dovrebbero rivedere l’accesso a questo sito che non ha nulla di storico, ma solo una attrattiva per turisti.

I coralli blu invece magnifici, tutto il fondale intorno a Gili Meno è uno spettacolo marino unico, ricco di vita.

Abbiamo pranzato vista mare in un piccolo ristorantino. Lo sfondo davanti a me era quello del mare celeste. Poi relax prima in spiaggia, seguito da un bagno nelle acque azzurre e relax in camera.

La cosa più bella della giornata sono le 5 tartarughe di mare che ho visto e le loro sorelline più piccole nel rifugio.
