Back to my lunch-break walk / Torno alle mie camminate di pranzo [ENG/ITA]

I went back to do my walks during lunch break.

At work, after years of faithful service, I managed to achieve that in the three summer months I can compact the working hours by reducing the lunch break from an hour and a half to one of half an hour, thus managing to anticipate the exit to 17.

However, this means that September 1 is always a traumatic day. The only positive note is that I can resume my walks during lunch break, also passing through a small forest park near the office.

But this year I still hadn't managed to resume. It was too hot, walking around meant going back to the office soathed with sweat.

Thanks to the rains of the weekend and a light breeze, today was possible and I admit that this has influenced my mood in a very positive way.

Walking allows me to listen to podcasts, make a few phone calls for the theatre, or call friends and family. It's time for me, in which I can also enjoy some greenery, sometimes even catching some animals.

A moment of relaxation for the mind. If only there was a longer walk in the woods beyond the 100/200 metres that I walk...

Sono tornato a fare le mie camminate in pausa pranzo.

A lavoro, dopo anni di fedele servizio, sono riuscito a ottenere che nei tre mesi estivi posso compattare l’orario di lavoro riducendo la pausa pranzo di un’ora e mezza ad una di mezz’ora, riuscendo così ad anticipare l’uscita alle 17.

Questo significa però che il 1 Settembre è sempre un giorno traumatico. L’unica nota positiva è posso riprendere a fare le mie camminate in pausa pranzo, passando anche in un piccolo parco forestale vicino all’ufficio.

Ma questo anno non ero ancora riuscito a riprendere. Faceva troppo caldo, passeggiare significava tornare in ufficio madido di sudore.

Grazie alle piogge del weekend e ad una leggera brezza, oggi è stato possibile e ammetto che questo ha influenzato in maniera molto positiva il mio umore.

Camminare mi permette di ascoltare podcast, fare qualche telefonata per il teatro, o chiamare amici e famigliari. È tempo per me, nel quale posso anche godermi un po’ di verde, qualche volta beccando anche qualche animaletto.

Un momento di relax per la mente. Se solo ci fosse una camminata più lunga nel bosco oltre ai 100/200 metri che percorro io…
