Life Lately: Lessons, Struggles, and Small Wins

I don't think I have stayed this long without publishing a post on here. It's been over a month and I thought I'd fill you guys in on what I've been up to lately. The past few months has been more about survival than comfort. I've been trying to learn and juggle multiple things while also trying not to negate reality. A lot has been going on but regardless, I've been growing, learning, failing, making mistakes, adjusting and getting back up and going at it.
The whole surviving thing hasn't even just been about my financial life, albeit I've always been in a pickle with my financials; or even my physical health, but it has been about my mental and emotional health. Most days it feels like the whole world is collapsing, but I've learned that progress isn't always glamourous or showy. Sometimes its just you sticking to it and grinding it out.

One of the biggest lessons (I've learned a lot btw) I've learned lately is the power of consistency. Whether it's me showing up at work when I absolutely don't feel like it, or taking my online course when I don't want to, or even sticking to my fitness routine, the small steps matter a lot more than the big burst energy or something similar. I was going to the gym for leg day a couple days ago, and I started questioning why I was doing it and in that moment I realized it's not just some magic portion that has helped me stay consistent but a constant reminder of my goals, while relishing every single bit of the journey. It's also a reminder for me that I struggle sometimes, everybody does and it's okay to struggle, to want help, to want to rest for a bit. I mean, we're only human. Flawed, fragile, complex creatures.

Looking ahead, I know it's sometimes going to be difficult, it's sometimes going to be hard, sometimes we get little wins along the way, like me increasing my squats from 80kg to 120kg *insert smug gif*, but we should always persevere and be resilient and learn, because if it doesn't kill you, it will make you stronger. Hopefully it doesn't kill you, xD. If you’re in a similar period like me, I hope you remind yourself that you’re not standing still, you’re building quietly. Here's to progress no matter how small. Remember to touch grass. Hopefully what you've read inspires you. Ciao.
