Wildflower hike
We hiked the Silver Lake Loop trail from the Goshen trailhead near Goshen, Vermont.
The focus of our walk quickly became wildflowers. This is a trillium.
Trillium come in a couple of colors and varieties.
This is a Carolina springbeauty. Lovely delicate bloom.
The trout lily (also pictured above as thumbnail) is a pretty yellow flower. The name comes from its spotted brown and green leaves which look kind of like the pattern on trout.
What a nice day! and nice hike. 60F, sunny, slight breeze. It doesn't get any better than this 🙂

Thanks to @scrooger and @qurator 🙏 🙏 I appreciate the support
Beautiful flowers... I've installed a plant recognition app for future nature walks... because I'm really bad at recognizing them.
Have a great day
Thanks. I just use the button on the photo app on my phone. Works fairly good. At least gets you started in the right direction to google deeper.
I love spring wildflowers! The trilliums are gorgeous and always a joy to find!
We are starting to know a couple of places to look each spring. Nice to get to know your way around the local trails.
you find many beautiful flowers. they are equally beautiful and alluring.
Thanks. It was a nice walk.

Finally the snow is gone. One of the few flowers I can identify is the trillium. I read there are quite a few wild orchids that grow there too.
Trilliums are definitely one of the easy ones. The rest I defer to google to tell me what they are 🙄
