Simon Pearce
Why not start with dessert? π
Actually I started with oysters. Which I like to do when I'm at a place I trust.
In this case I was at Simon Pearce, in Quechee, Vermont.
Simon Pearce is actually a glass blowing company. And this is their headquarters.
They have a little museum. These are various forms for shaping glass.
And production facilities. Plus of course a company store.
And someone, sometime along the line decided a restuarant would be a good idea. I agree!
I also like to get a cheese plate when there are good Vermont options. Makes me feel like a local I guess π
This was my birthday celebration so we went all in. Starting with salads. This is the Green Green salad.
I had a Caesar Salad. Normally not my first choice but I was drawn in my the Chorizo added in.
My wife had Sesame Chicken. Much better than the take out place we sometimes frequent π
I had the Gnocchi which I really like to get when I see it on a menu. This was interesting because it was in a vegetable stock. Most places you get gnocchi its in a heavy creme or butter sauce. Very tasty.
You already saw my wife's Pavlova dessert above. I had the Creme Brulee another go to dish from me. Very fun trip and worth the drive to visit!
