The Kansas prairie seems to go on forever.

Pano

No trees. No hills. Nobody.

Planter

Old farm equipment dots the landscape. This is an old horse drawn planter.

Benders

One might think nothing interesting ever happens in Kansas... but it was in the heart of the old West. Crazy stuff happened 🤦‍♂️ A recent story about the Bloody Benders This historical marker is in southeast Kansas.

In the 2022 Amazon series, The English there was a similar story of a family in the West that took in travellers, killed them and took whatever they had. It was a violent, unforgiving place.

Old home

The last shot was taken on my phone so my apologies to the photography lovers here but its my parents old farm. I was happy to see the new owners are taking care of the place 🙂

I hope that family didn't live on somewhere else! A vengeful posse seems a fitting ending.

Hopefully that was the last of the Benders, I agree. Now that I live kind of in the woods, the open skies of the prairie look really nice
