Across the lake is Deer Valley ski resort. They still had some runs open last week.

We kind of jumped between three trails. This was the nicest.

I love capturing dried thistles… some how they are so photogenic.
Great captures of them. The views of the snow capped mountains is stunning, interesting that they still had some runs open.

Looks nice and desolate, with a hint of cold and wind. Perfect place to escape the hum of wifi.

Yes its high mountain dessert. With all the snow on the mountains, sometimes you forget that the area is essentially a dessert.
