Gateway Lodge view

View

Cool view.

Split

I liked these two photos so I took a couple more to make a post.

Plans

The Gateway Lodge was constructed in 1912 by John D. Rockefeller Jr. at the entrance to Acadia National Park in Maine. My perfect vacation spot lots of great outdoors and lots of good food 🙂 Lobsters rolls and other fresh seafood are my favorite.

Lodge

Back to the lodge, the architect was Grosvenor Atterbury.

Pass through

The Lodge is still used today, housing some of the park employees. What an awesome spot to spend the summer 😋

Beyond

But mostly I liked the photos looking through the breezeway.

Yes, those are great captures looking through.
Nothing can beat the lobster 🦞 rolls in Maine hahaha 🤣
It looks like a lovely area to spend some summers.

Funny aside... I prefer warm lobster rolls which is basically melted butter instead of cold mayo. That is technically a Connecticut style lobster roll but even Connecticut lobster rolls are better in Maine 🙂

I think I only had the cold version so far… will try the warm ones next time I visit Maine or the area.
Hahaha they must have perfected it 🥰🦞

Wish I could spend a summer there and afford to eat lobster
everyday!

Lobster for a few days is perfect and doesn't break the bank haha I think we hit it at a nice time. Just at the end of the season. Lots of places starting to close but the weather was still ok and the crowds mostly gone.
