Italy, traditionally, though, has suffered from bad floods and shoreline degradation for thousands of years, just not anything major in recent memory
This is also true. In the village where I live, 15 years ago, an agricultural area was transformed into a building area right next to where a river overflowed
And the environmental engineering will only continue, because there are people moving to Italy from other countries, demanding housing
