With this post I would like to give a brief instruction regarding the topic mentioned in the subject

Articles
Here is a brief description of the articles
1-The indefinite article: a/an
2-The definite article: the
3-The zero article: Ø (meaning the non-use of the article)

Examples
Sentence 1
Let's take the following sentence as an example:
I never listen to _________ radio. In fact, I haven’t even got _________ radio.

The articles we will have to use will be "the" and "a"
So the sentence will be as follows:
I never listen to the radio. In fact, I haven’t even got a radio.

The two rules for defining articles
Rule 1
One of the rules to keep in mind is that singular and countable nouns always have an article, a/an or the.
Rule 2
We use the (the definite article) when the listener already knows what we are talking about because it has already been mentioned previously or because it is a single topic.
Now we can better understand why in the previous sentence we used two different articles in front of the word radio. I report the sentence below highlighting the articles

I never listen to the radio. In fact, I haven’t even got a radio.

Sentence2
_________ President Bush is from Texas.
In this type of sentence we might have doubts about whether or not to use the article.
In this case we must keep in mind that when we talk about things in general, we usually use a plural or uncountable noun and we are in the case in which we do not have the use of the article.
Example:
______Money is the root of....
In this sentence the definite article is not necessary in fact:
it is wrong to write
The Money is the root of....
it is correct to write
Money is the root of....

Now let's go back to the initial sentence, that is
_________ President Bush is from Texas.

In this case the rule that defines the case in which the article is not used is not to be taken into consideration, while before we said that the definite article "the" is used to identify a single topic or something unique.
"The President" is a unique and specific figure and in the use of English, when we speak of an official title followed by the name of a person, we use "the" to indicate that we are talking about that particular and recognized person.
Below I report the correct sentence with the article highlighted
The President Bush is from Texas

Sentence 3
She works in ___ office.
In this case we may have the doubt whether to use the definite article (the) or the indefinite article (a/an)

We have already mentioned the use of the definite article, now let's try to describe when the indefinite article is used.
We use a/an, that is the indefinite article, when we talk about something for the first time or something that is part of a group or a type.
So our sentence will become as follows, I highlight the article:
She works in an office

Conclusions
In English the articles can be the, a, an or the omission of the same.

Esempi
Frase 1
Prendiamo come esempio la seguente frase:
I never listen to _________ radio. In fact, I haven’t even got _________ radio.

Gli articoli che dovremo usare saranno "the" e "a"
Quindi la frase risulterà così come segue:
I never listen to the radio. In fact, I haven’t even got a radio.

Le due regole per definire gli articoli
Regola 1
Una delle regole da tenere in considerazione è che i nomi singolari e numerabili hanno sempre un articolo, a/an oppure the.
Regola 2
Usiamo the (l'articolo determinativo) quando l'ascoltatore sa già di cosa stiamo parlando perché è stato già menzionato in precedenza o perché è un argomento solo.
Ora possiamo comprendere meglio perché nella frase di prima davanti alla parola radio abbiamo usato due articoli diversi. Riporto qui di seguito la frase evidenziando gli articoli

I never listen to the radio. In fact, I haven’t even got a radio.

Frase2
_________ President Bush is from Texas.
In questa tipologia di frase potremmo avere il dubbio se mettere oppure no l'articolo.
In questo caso dobbiamo tenere in considerazione che quando parliamo di cose in generale, di solito utilizziamo un sostantivo plurale o non numerabile e siamo nel caso in cui non abbiamo l'uso dell'articolo.
Esempio:
______Money is the root of....
In questa frase l'articolo definito non è necessario infatti:
è sbagliato scrivere
The Money is the root of....
è corretto scrivere
Money is the root of....

Torniamo ora alla frase iniziale, cioè
_________ President Bush is from Texas.

In questo caso la regola che definisce il caso in cui non ci va l'articolo non è da prendere in considerazione, mentre prima abbiamo detto che l'articolo definito "the" viene usato per identificare un argomento solo o un qualcosa di unico.
"The President" è una figura unica e specifica e nell'uso dell'inglese, quando si parla di un titolo ufficiale seguito dal nome di una persona, si usa "the" per indicare che stiamo parlando di quella persona particolare e riconosciuta.
Qui di seguito riporto la frase corretta con l'articolo evidenziato
The President Bush is from Texas

Frase 3
She works in ___ office.
In questo caso possiamo avere il dubbio se usare l'articolo definito (the) oppure l'articolo indeterminativo (a/an)

Abbiamo già menzionato l'uso dell'articolo definito, ora proviamo a descrivere quando si usa l'articolo indeterminativo.
Usiamo a/an, cioè l'articolo indeterminativo, quando parliamo di qualcosa per la prima volta o di qualcosa che fa parte di un gruppo o di un tipo.
Quindi la nostra frase diventerà come segue, evidenzio l'articolo:
She works in an office

Conclusioni
In inglese gli articoli possono essere the, a, an oppure l'omissione dello stesso.
