I did mean globally. You can see that from stats that other people publish.

I suspect that the USA is one of the biggest, but I've not attempted to do stats for that. Just finding all the people would be hard, but people might want to work on individual states for a start.

I've run a query based on some simple criteria that shows Venezuela, Nigeria, Indonesia, Philippines, Germany and Cuba have hundreds of people active. In the UK we tend to be spread out.

I often see posts from Venezuela. They seem to be very active in promoting hive and using hbd for daily food purchases. Which is interesting to see. 👍

It's part of the local economy in places, but that might be harder to do over here. We need to get more active communities around specific interests, much like FB groups.

I was surprised in one of your previous posts - maybe looking at web traffic? - that actually there don't appear to be huge numbers of USA Hivers. For some reason 350 sticks in my mind, below Venezuela and Nigeria.

@molometer, too 😍

I've not attempted a full US list. Just looking for a few terms like USA will not find them all as many use cities and states in their profile. It might be cool to work on various states to build some lists, but I don't have the time.

I think you were drawing the numbers from another analytics site based on IP addresses rather than directly from Hive itself. I agree, though, could be a big discrepancy.

Maybe. I've played with various means to analyse the Hivers. I suspect the US is one of our bigger communities, but it's hard to get the numbers. My file of Brits has taken years to build. If people want to do their own locality then I will help.
