Follow Friday: When Moon?

The News

I was travelling last week and so did not do a #FollowFriday, but then I just do this for fun and do not worry about missing the odd week.

The $HIVE price has been creeping up lately and is hovering around 25c. That is not good enough to get into the @coingecko top 400 now as other coins must be up more. Some of us remember when the original coin was in the top 10, but things have changed a lot since then.

Prices from @coingecko

As I was away I did not keep up with so much on Hive. I did see mention of a new game from the @hive.pizza team. It is generally a good idea to get in early on a game if you can, so check it out.

I also saw a lot about Talent Land in Mexico where a lot of new people signed up to Hive. We need to make them welcome.

More news from @gadrian who is better at sticking to a schedule than me.

Friday Follows

  • @buttcoins is looking to make HBD a bigger part of his hotel in Guatemala. That is another opportunity to get people on board.
  • My friend @soundminds is dedicating himself to music and posting songs as he records them. He has limited resources, but a lot of talent.
  • We need to appreciate the developers who keep improving Hive. @howo has been working on it for a long time and has a proposal to fund that. You can support as many proposals as you want to help them get funding.
  • @coldbeetrootsoup are continuing their efforts to get Hive dapps voted up on TheDappList. We really need the whole community to get behind this to get featured on their front page.
  • Ultrarunner and writer @dragosroua is back on Hive after a break. I just read one of his books.

The End

Even though I was travelling I was still able to get some posts out via @ecency and I logged a couple of runs via @strava2hive. I have used the Ecency mobile app for years and it works well. I also have the Keychain app for when I need to do other transactions. I made use of HiveVote to automate more of my voting as I cannot be on my phone all the time when travelling with the family. I try to maximise the votes I give out to spread rewards.

I think it is up to each of us to try to build the Hive community and these posts are part of my contribution. Do not leave it all to others.

Thank you for the mention old boy! And very lovely words too. Just listening to some Floyd, shine on you crazy diamond - when pink Floyd were recording wish you were here, Syd berret came to the studio and apparently kept going off to brush his teeth, he must have had a good reason mind you.. terrible what the medication does to the body, not least the mind, but better than being psychotic! As you can see the change in his appearance from what he was to what he became but this is a very vein outlook to have I admit, as one should not judge upon physical appearance,I do think of these medications as a chemical Labotomy, but I suppose that isn't a good way to view them.

The mind is a complex thing and many talented people have lost their grip on reality. Perhaps that was linked to their gift. Sometimes we need some help to get through life.

Stay well.

Indeed! Very much so. Don't really know why I carried on with that train of thought above, bloody beer goes to my head.

HiveVote is a great tool. We shouldn't let our HP idle for the sake of HIVE community ;)

We did. I saw a bit of wildlife along the way, but didn't get decent photos. It's good to be back home again though.

Pity that you couldn't get some wildlife shots, but such is life. I agree. as we also like to get back home.

I only took my phone this time. There was a hare running around in town. Meanwhile our little deer was in the garden again this evening.

I surely can understand there are times when we will miss these weekly posts. I will be in the same situation soon, although I will probably try to publish it earlier in the week when I can. Enjoy your vacation with the family throughout Europe. Your info on how you managed to stay connected to Hive during this time may help me during my time(s) away from home.

I try not to obsess too much over regular posting, but it can be addictive. It's just hard to compile complex posts on a phone and I find that Ecency can forget stuff if I switch between apps to get get all the links etc. I just like to keep up with what is happening.

Ah, yeah, I don't think I'd be able to write complex posts on vacation either. In fact, I'll have to decide whether I'll write anything while I'm away or not. It will only be for a few days in a couple of weeks, and perhaps a little longer later on.

Greetings, your summary is very interesting. It's good to know that I'm helping to make Hive a better place. A small contribution, but with a lot of love. Thank you for this summary.

We must be patient and give HIVE time, sooner or later it will be glorious again, as it used to be.
