I will get to the headline in a moment. Did I get your attention?

There has been a general slump in crypto this week, including $HIVE (vote it up on Coingecko), but I am not sure it is time to panic yet. Bittrex shut down in the US claiming bankruptcy and the authorities there seem to be going after crypto.

Talking of Coingecko, this Tweet caused a kerfuffle as many people pointed out that a lot of those platforms are not really decentralised. I think they probably got the message.

Friday Follows

  • When I say 'Sell Hive' I mean that we need to sell the idea of using it to a wider audience. @demotruk is offering a prize to anyone who can get decent views to a post. We can draw people in with the concepts of what Hive can do, but it also helps if there is good content here.
  • @revisesociology was checking out who is nearly at 100k HP. That includes me as I will get there very soon. Although some get discouraged by a low $HIVE price I am playing the long game and am happy to keep earning it every day. My account is worth a lot more than I have invested and I am having fun.
  • @cryptoshots.nft have a playable 3d shooter on the web.
  • @finguru has set up an 'AI' chatbot on brancher.ai that answers questions about Hive. I know people have issues with these, but this one gives pretty good answers with useful links. You do need to register to use it, but that is the price of a free service.

These people get a share of the post rewards.

Get Communal

Hive communities are a great way to find like-minded people. They should not just be about fishing for votes. Hive is social.

  • Hive Thrift is a place to sell items you want to clear out.
  • I created Audio Production to discuss all aspects of recording, editing and processing sound.
  • The Hive Comic Books community includes original online comics as well as comic collectors.

Hive Sites

I have a big collection of links to sites that are built around Hive, so I will share some of those here.

  • Hive List is another place to sell things for crypto. You can set up your own store there.
  • Why Hive has a nicely presented description of what this platform offers. It could be a good place to direct prospective users to.
  • The Hive Developer Portal is a good starting point if you want to build something around the blockchain.

I would love to hear from people about what their personal Hive goals are and how they are bringing others to the platform. I am always looking for new people to support. Those first few weeks are crucial in deciding whether to stick with it. It is not always just about votes as engagement helps too.

Great list of resources you have there. What I found funny about the Coingecko thing is that they split a bunch of the Hive front ends up. You combine all of those into Hive and we likely would have been in the top five or three.

Actually we might not be that high based on the numbers they have unless you include Splinterlands, but that is not really social. I wonder if St--mit really gets that many real visitors. Hive users are more engaged, but we need more of them.

I agree with selling hive. We have a lot more to do if we want to all benefit from hive in the long run. I’m no where near 100K hp so I’m not eligible for that prize.

My strategy worked! We have to put something in if we want Hive to do well. That can be money or effort. There's no prize for getting to 100k anyway. People at that level shouldn't need prizes.

Some of us remember when it was 6c and we kept going then. If you are doing it just for the money then for some it's not worth it. Mind you, there are passive earning opportunities, so it is basically free money.

Exactly, its the memory of that that gives me confidence that we are multiple times above it. Also, its a bear market. We have seen over and over that the price follows everything else.

I find this ranking strange, however I take note of it. HIVE struggles to show itself to the mass, but I don't know why and I don't understand why it hasn't been adopted by the mass yet !LUV

It was a spontaneous choice of title, but sometimes you need some clickbait to get more readers. I'm always happy to inform people of what goes on around Hive, but I keep learning too.

Same here! Some might think that being around here from the beginning (or even before) one would know everything. But besides discovering new things that are popping up almost every day, I also find things that I somehow missed along the way. But, as you said, it's fun! 😀

It's been a strange old time for crypto not only Hive but our other main HODL Electroneum, rolloer coaster isn't the word, we're gutted we had to powerdown, however it was either that or a massive negative impact on our life, and the fact we've done this has made us want to get even more creative on the platform, sharing the cars however as you enjoy the music too. Thank you
