It seems the crypto world has gone nuts over this Bitcoin ETF thing. I honestly do not know much about it, but then I am not really a speculator or investor and hold no Bitcoin. I heard the guys on Cryptomaniacs laughing about Bitcoin fans wanting approval from the financial mainstream when crypto is supposed to given us freedom from that.

Bread

My bread did rise today, but $HIVE got hit this week by market fluctuations. It is really just back to where it was recently. It is up to us to add value to this platform with good content. It is a small minority who can develop the dapps, but we can support them. We all want Hive to do well, but we cannot just rely on others to do the work.

I do not have so much to write about this week, but I try to keep up these regular posts. I always have some ideas for posts in mind, but will not usually do more than one per day. I think quality matters more than quantity and it all takes time, not just to write, but to respond to comments. You should consider the value of your comments. If you are just trying to do as many as possible each day then the quality may suffer. If I see that mine was one of several within a few minutes then I will know you did no more than skim it. I get that there are possible rewards for the most interactions, but gaining followers who engage with you is more valuable in my opinion.

It was really great seeing @AndySporring come back to Hive this week. Really great. He post a 2-part blog on returning to composing.

You should nudge @bitterirony to post on the Bitcoin ETF. It would be a new topic for him here, and has avoided doing so on Twitter as it can be an friendly experience. But he’s been dealing in ETFs for a very long time and has been buying Bitcoin for two years. I bet good conversations could be had.

We each have our interests. I like the diversity on Hive and music is obviously one of my interests.

@bitterirony could find plenty of people to discuss Bitcoin with. Throw some controversial views out there to get things going!

I'm not sure I've been to Leeds, so maybe I will find an excuse to go there.

I agree with your statement on quality, but in my own case I am going for quantity first. Not just anything and everything. But basically i am not thinking of quality at all, cause I have cornered myself into a perfection trap these past couple of years and my big decision has been to be bad at stuff if needed but to do it. Interestingly I seem to be getting my writing muscle back writing more comments than posts :D Will be doing a bit of process recheck this weekend to try and get out 3 posts a week minimum. Lets see. Interestingly it is all the reading I have been doing within Hive that is taking up my bandwidth of free time :D

I don't expect perfection from anyone. Quality will mean different things to each of us, but I think it means being unique and putting some thought into our posts. Having a million selfies or second rate landscape photos will not bring in the masses. There has to be something people want to engage with even if it is a niche interest. I am in a fortunate position here, but I still try not to 'shitpost'. Mind you, I can throw out little snippets on Threads or Waves if I want.

Somehow you have to get into the feeds of people who will look at your posts and hopefully comment or even vote. I don't have the secret sauce, but I have something that works which is hard to explain.

Agreed. In my case quality means that if you spent 1 min reading my post you did not feel it was a wasted min. But my personal issue is that I end up being too strict with myself. So at the moment I am trying to write with intent but not worry too much about trying to meet my own quality at least till I get my writing moving without constant stoppages. :)

about secret sauces, ya one never knows. to be honest, when I popped up here I expected a great community thanks to the earlier discussions we have had. And I am glad to note that I am not disappointed. So overall being here is good for my mental health.

Thanks for the mention! Glad you like it! Is that bread made with adding yeast or with sourdough starter? I started a new starter 3 days ago and waiting for it to become active enough. Let’s see what comes out 😅

It was dried yeast. I mixed a little granary flour with some white. Nice crunchy crust.

Amigo acero , me encanta tu comentario y sabes he hablado con @yidneth he escuchado sus canciones son hermosas de ensueño, por mi parte he leído de Los ETF si son acciones y valores que están ligados al BTC , obviamente todos queremos un Hive estable por lo menos a 1$ americano.

Thanks for the shout out! The markets are going to do what they want for the most part. We can avoid some of the chaos by focusing on what we have here on Hive.
