Morning Run: Beat it

@steevc just finished a 7.49km run, that lasted for 43 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 517.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
As always I log some details of my run so that it will appear on Hive via the @strava2hive app and I can earn a little cryptocurrency. I can create accounts for any Stravans who want to do that too.

I was at my drum lesson up the road last night. We were working on some 'rudiments' which are the foundation of technique and it is deep stuff. Tonight is our pub jam session where I will be playing guitar and I am also doing a bass course.

The mornings are lighter since the clocks went back. It had been raining overnight and has since I got back, but I stayed dry and it was nice out.

I did the usual loop up around Fairfield and the pace was good. It takes me a little while to get going, but then I managed about a third of the run under 5:30/km and got my best time on the 1km downhill stretch in a while. I can see that others do it much quicker, but there are limits to how fast my legs will move. Maybe that could be improved with some coaching, but I am not finding the time to join a club.

I saw a couple of squirrels today, one black and a grey. Also plenty of dogs with their owners. They will be wrapped up and I am out in my shorts, but then I warm up quickly.

There are a few more Halloween decorations out. The kids will be after sweets at the weekend. Our kids are elsewhere and all grown up. I have not been to any sort of Halloween party in a few years. We did a few when the kids were young. Some of the adults were quite into dressing up.

I may do an intervals run tomorrow. I hope to be running at parkrun on Saturday. If it rains much more then that will start to get muddy.

Run free and Hive five!

We don't move the clocks back until this weekend after Halloween takes place. I did a bit of a workout this morning, but as I am on the road at a conference I am not sure if I will be able to work out tomorrow.

All the clocks changing at different times makes for some challenges for people who need to synchronise things. Some people want to stop doing it here.

I try to get some exercise when I am travelling even if it is just some sit-ups and press-ups in the hotel room. I take my running gear when I can. Have a good trip.

I didn't realize that different countries do their time change at different times. I thought it was more of a wholesale worldwide thing. They actually do a fun run/walk every year at the conference I am at right now, but I have never participated in it.

I think you can have a company with offices in the UK and elsewhere in Europe than can be 0, 1 or 2 hours different at various times. Makes it fun to organise meetings.

Interesting. I guess if you are used to doing that with time zones it isn't that big of a deal, but when you spread daylight savings time out like that it can probably get confusing.
