Morning Run: Unblocking

Description from Strava:
After my speed parkrun last Saturday I was not feeling so great. I have been bunged up and feeling a bit drained so that not been running. I did get in our pool though as it has been getting pretty warm. I swim up and down that as a workout. I need to build up those muscles again.

I will not make to parkrun tomorrow, but I felt I could do a run today. Tomorrow is looking to be over 30C. It was warm enough for me this morning. I drank some water beforehand, but within seconds of being out there my mouth felt dry. That may be partly down to whatever bug I have. I just took it steady.

There has been some work done on the village sign. I assume they will be planting some flowers around it. A while back we gained a flagpole there, but this sign is pretty old.

I did my usual loop where people were walking their dogs. It was quite nice out there really. My running was not too bad, but I was not going for speed.

When I got back I had some cereal with strawberries and raspberries from the garden. We have a good crop despite the lack of rain. The forecast shows some chance of rain over the next week.

I have a gig with the folk band this weekend, so I need to practice for that. We will be outside, but under cover. We played there last year when it rained heavily.
