@steevc just finished a 5.84km run, that lasted for 37 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 425.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
It was raining when I went out this morning, but not very much. It is forecast to rain a fair bit today. That should mean that we do not need to water the garden much.

Just after I set off I heard my keys fall out of the little zip-up pocket in the back of my shorts. There is a small hole there so I had to hold them for the rest of the run. I may sew that up, but the keys will wear through eventually. Sometimes I put them on a lanyard instead.

I am trying to get back into running intervals. I was just reading about the importance of body power, especially as you get older. You can be strong, but you need to be able to deploy that strength quickly. I want to train my legs to move quicker.

It worked out quite well today with my best set of times for the sprint up West Drive in a while. Some of them were at under 5min/km. I was quicker a few years ago, but age is a factor.

I was quite happy with how I did, but needed some recover time after each sprint when I walked back down.

The rain did not amount to much, so I did not really get wet and it is not cold. I would like it to warm up a bit so that I can use the pool. I plan to run at parkrun this week. I just checked the volunteer roster and it is almost full. I will help out again soon.

Run free!

In case of such situation, I give a key to one of my relatives/friends. Seems sewing up that hole would be a good solution :)

I need to lock up the house as nobody else is home. I can carry a key in other ways.

I'm glad the rain didn't slow you down too much and I am also glad you didn't lose your keys! I tried out my wife's weighted vest on the treadmill this morning and I have to admit, it is a totally different experience!

I've not tried one of those. Running is hard enough anyway. Losing my keys would be a real pain. They ought to make these pockets harder wearing. I have considered a runner's belt, but I don't carry much else. My phone is in an arm pouch, but that has nowhere for keys.

They do have those sling things that go across your body now. That might be an option. Yes, many of the pockets these days are just mesh things. The vest was interesting. I didn't try running in it. Baby steps...
