@steevc just finished a 6.97km run, that lasted for 43 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 538.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
It has been a week since my last run, that was in Germany. Just after we returned my back was playing up, so I have rested it for a while. I felt better today and decided to try a run.

Whilst we were away there was some rain and so everything is looking very green. Our garden had flourished and we had lots of new plants in that needed it. It is due to get warm this week and so we are looking to get the pool up soon.

I did my usual run up to Fairfield, but was taking it fairly easy to see how I felt. I noticed a load of big logs by the stables. I assume that is to prevent people parking there. The road up the hill feels really wide since all the tree debris and other rubbish at the edges was cleared.

Strava predictions

The felt pretty good really and I was able to keep up a steady pace. I would like to be a little quicker though. Strava has a new feature of estimating what you should be capable of. I would be happy to hit that 5k time as I have been about a minute slower than that at parkrun recently. I am not running much beyond 10k for now, but I may try stretching out some of my weekend runs again. I went through a phase of running monthly half marathons on my own a few years ago. It would be nice to be able to do that again. I saw a little of the London Marathon and still do not feel up to that, but well done those who did it.

Run free!

Just yesterday I was thinking to myself that I have not seen your run post, then I just came online now and am seeing this 😀.

It's great you were able to rest and have resumed your running sir

I'll likely be getting a lot more steps in now that the lawn has to be mowed every week or so. I realized the other day I need to get some new lawn mowing shoes. My current ones are so worn it is basically like mowing barefoot.

Our grass is growing well. Our mower does move itself along, so it's not too bad. I tend to wear my welly boots as it can be messy. I just need to keep on top of all the other stuff that is growing wild right now.

I've been really interested in the battery mowers lately. The people across the street have one. I wonder how powerful they can really be. For my small yard, it seems like it could be an option...

Electric would be quieter and have less maintenance than petrol. Our lawn is big, but if we could just swap batteries then it could be viable. We will see when this mower dies. We share it with the neighbour who is good with engines and he just fitted a new carb.

It's nice to have someone handy like that around! I haven't done enough research on them to know if it would be a good fit for me. I have a feeling my gas mower will be around for a while yet!

So, @themarkymark, You Downvote Others to Ensure Rewards Go to You and Your Friends?

Let’s break this down, @themarkymark. You downvote others—often honest contributors—to manipulate the reward pool, ensuring that payouts flow directly to you and your inner circle. We’ve already exposed the Buildawhale scam farm, providing clear evidence of its exploitative practices, yet nothing has been done to stop it. Why is that?

Here’s just one example of how this plays out:

The blockchain doesn’t lie, and neither do we. Buildawhale continues to farm rewards, hoard influence, and silence critics—all while claiming to “help” Hive. But let’s be honest: the only people being helped are you and your associates.

Why Has Nothing Been Done?

The lack of action against these harmful practices raises serious questions about accountability on Hive. Are bad actors being protected because of their influence? Is the community too divided or apathetic to demand change? Or are the mechanisms for addressing abuse simply inadequate?

Whatever the reason, silence only enables further exploitation. Every day that schemes like Buildawhale go unchecked, Hive loses credibility, trust, and potential growth.

A Call for Accountability

To the Hive community, witnesses, and leaders:

  • Audit Voting Patterns: Investigate accounts like Buildawhale that exploit the reward system through coordinated downvotes and farming.
  • Implement Safeguards: Introduce measures to prevent manipulation and ensure fairness in reward distribution.
  • Hold Bad Actors Accountable: Stop enabling exploitative behavior and prioritize the health of the ecosystem over personal gain.

Final Thoughts: The Truth Is Out There

LOL, but seriously—the evidence is undeniable. If Hive wants to thrive, it’s time to confront these issues head-on. @themarkymark, your actions speak louder than your words. Instead of defending exploitative practices, why not use your influence to create a fairer, more sustainable platform?

The Bilpcoin team remains committed to exposing the truth and advocating for meaningful reform. Together, let’s build a Hive that empowers everyone—not just a select few.

From the Bilpcoin Team: Transparency and fairness are the keys to unlocking Hive’s true potential. Let’s work together to make it happen.

I think you run enough to get through a marathon no problem because we all know once you start it is easy to maintain. When I was in the Army marathon squad we trained with a 10K run every evening after a full day of normal training and running 42km's was not difficult.

I've done halfs, but that felt like enough when I finished. I'm not so young, so it gets harder. I do want to build up my weekly distance and will see how it goes.

See my post about the book by @dragosroua. He did massive runs in his 40s.

cwow stop the drink and drugs

Stop supporting the fake Hive police who do nothing but exploit Hive

Many people on Hive will never get to spend any of their Hive as it may become illegal in certain countries

Looking at Hive from the outside, it looks like trash let just be honest there are issues. Not many people would be interested in coming to Hive to read blogs let's be honest
