@steevc just finished a 5.52km run, that lasted for 34 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 394.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
It was slightly chilly this morning, but fine for running. After feeding the chicken I headed to my regular haunt of West Drive for some intervals. I have not done this workout in a while and I feel like I need it. I sprint as best I can for 300m with a climb of about 6m. I take it easy on the way down to recover, but I wonder if I should do that even slower. I do this circuit five times, for now. The jog home was very gentle.

Previously I was able to do the sprints at about 5min/km, but I am a bit off that for now. For some runners that is a gentle jog, but it is the best I can do. I will try doing it every week or two to see if there is any improvement. I do not have any strict training regime, but then I am just doing all this for my health rather than to compete.

I volunteered for parkrun on Saturday. I may try getting the bike out on Sunday as I have not used it in a while. I bought new bar grips and a new helmet last year, so I ought to use them.

Run free and be nice to others.

I just do the best I can too. I know my pace is pretty slow, but I hope in time it will get better. Have fun if you get out on the bike. I need to get mine down and try to use it more this summer as well.

I will push myself, but not to extremes as it is not that important to be quick. I admire anyone who just gets out and does some exercise as many people are pretty sedentary and rarely break a sweat. I do think that it does me good even if my body seems to be wearing out in various ways.

I agree with you. I don't think I probably look much healthier on the outside, but I know it is making differences on the inside.

The hills just make the run almost twice as hard hahaha. The chickens got fed first, got your priorities, right lol. I hope the bike ride happens this weekend. Have a great rest of your day Mr Steve

I take as long as I need on the recovery, to feel ready for the next one. For me it is all about building slowly over time and not getting injured. I like you have to posts as a start line !BEER

Those posts are actually the finish. I start at a road hump down the hill. I could make it longer, but I'm finding this is enough. It's dead straight up there. I will try easing off on the recovery.
