@steevc just finished a 6.3km run, that lasted for 37 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 458.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
The weather has turned chilly again after a lovely weekend, but I wanted to run today. There have been a few drops of rain, but I mostly avoided it. Strava says it felt like -1C out there, but I was warm enough in t-shirt and shorts.

I had a route in mind and was conscious of not being away from my desk for too long, so I tried to keep up a good pace. I have run a lot of this before, but had to consult the map a couple of times to be sure of where I was going. The concrete clock is one of several odd sculptures I've seen around Stevenage.

I saw a red kite and various other birds. They get seagulls there even though it is far from the sea. There are some cormorants by the boating lakes where I often run.

I was happy with the pace and I got a couple of segment PRs. Strava shows my fitness as improving and I hope to get back to something near my best of recent years. I just need to avoid injuries.

I keep an old pair of running shoes at the office so I have less to carry. I may swap them out for another pair. Some time I will try the countryside tracks across the motorway.

Run free!

I remember running a half-marathon in Hartford, CT many years ago. It was cold. Close to freezing temps. We wore our running shorts, gloves, a long sleeve running shirt with our regular sleeveless running shirt underneath. Once you get a couple of miles in the gloves and long sleeve shirts came off.

Cheers. I've really explored this area on my runs, but keep finding new things.

I sometimes start with more layers, but I soon warm up. I don't think it was really freezing this time anyway. I wear shorts all year and my legs do okay.

Guys like you motivate me to keep exercising everyday. You give no excuses, respect to that. Running in -1°C with just a t-shirt and shorts is dedication haha. I'm glad you avoided most of the rain. Have a good next run man

Strava said 7C, feels like -1C, but it felt warmer to me and I get hot when running.

7C is still a big deal hahaha, sometimes when it's that cold breathing while running becomes harder as if something is piercing through my nostrils 🤣
