Meta Dumped Metaverse And Is Riding The AI
META IS ON FIRE!
Meta has been setting the markets on fire lately, with its stock rising for 20 consecutive days, gaining +20% in just one month! While some wonder if this surge is just a coincidence, the reality is that Meta is constantly evolving and adapting to the latest technological advancements.
Mark Zuckerberg seems to have left the Metaverse behind and is now focusing on Artificial Intelligence and humanoid robots! Yes, you heard that right! Meta is creating a new division dedicated to AI-powered humanoid robots, stepping into the robotics space to compete even with Tesla !
THE BIG SHIFT
Remember when Meta bet everything on the Metaverse? The company invested billions in VR and AR, but results didn't come as quickly as Zuck had hoped. And so, he made a 180-degree turn!
In 2023, Meta shifted its focus to AI and launched Llama LLM, one of the most powerful AI models. But it didn’t stop there! Now, Meta is expanding into an even more ambitious project: developing AI-powered humanoid robots!
According to Bloomberg, Meta has created a new team within Reality Labs, led by Marc Whitten, former CEO of Cruise (GM's self-driving car division). The goal? To bring Meta to the forefront of the robotics revolution!
META VS TESLA
If you thought Tesla was the only company investing in humanoid robots, think again! Meta isn’t just building a robot—it’s developing the AI software, sensors, and hardware that could become the industry standard!
The company is already in talks with Unitree Robotics and Figure AI Inc., aiming to compete directly with Tesla’s Optimus. And as Meta’s CTO, Andrew Bosworth, stated:
"The technologies we've developed in AI and Reality Labs are perfect for advancing robotics."
In other words, Meta plans to play a key role in the humanoid AI robot market, whether through its own products or collaborations with other companies.
WHAT’S META’S PLAN?
But how exactly does Meta plan to do this?
Well, the company has a very clear strategy:
✅ Invest $60-65 billion in AI infrastructure over the next few years.
✅ Release more than 6 AI-powered devices within the year.
✅ Develop cutting-edge AI & robotics technologies that will transform the industry.
Will they change the name again???

But come to think of it where do they usually get these billions they squandering here and there
Sometimes you need to adapt and to switch gears. Moving from metaverse to AI probably pays better. And if I would envision something is that maybe an evolved AI can make a metaverse by its own and more realistic and "randomized" than anyone could have imagined.
Yes definitely AI is better because it give more options and helps people in the everyday life
