Drop/Another Simple Favor
Drop
Violet is a widowed mother going on her first date in years when she meets the charming Henry. But their chemistry starts to fall apart as Violet becomes increasingly irritated—and eventually terrified—by a series of anonymous messages on her phone. She’s told not to tell anyone and to follow specific instructions, or else the hooded figure watching her home’s security cameras will kill her young son and her sister. Violet must follow the commands to the letter—otherwise, everyone she loves will die… Is it worth watching?

Some scenes were nicely directed (which I didn’t expect), and overall it was decently shot.
Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar are fine in the lead roles.
It had some suspenseful moments.
Surprisingly engaging—it makes you want to see how things unfold; it's entertaining.

Unfortunately, I’d say the ending was mediocre to bad—it lacked the intensity I was hoping for.
The story didn’t really have the depth to support a full-length film.
The twist wasn’t as shocking as it seemed to think it was.
It includes all the genre clichés you'd expect.
Not scary at all.
Touches on serious issues like abuse only superficially—it could have explored them more meaningfully.
Clearly a made-for-streaming film.
Another Simple Favor
Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) reunite on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman. Along with the glamorous guests, murder and betrayal have also RSVP’d to a ceremony with more twists than the road from Marina Grande to Capri’s main square.
Is it worth watching?

The Italian setting is stunning—and how could it not be?
Some of the shots and angles are quite interesting.
The chemistry between the leads, Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, is still there and is perhaps the best part of the film—second only to the Italian backdrop.
The biting one-liners, a trademark of the first film, make a return here.
Blake Lively’s outfits? One by one, absolutely gorgeous.

The script has some holes and dead ends that lead nowhere—like a few surveillance subplots.
It goes over-the-top, likely in an attempt to outdo its predecessor.
The mystery feels odd and not always effectively handled.
Michele Morrone… I know, I know, you’ll hate me for this, but acting-wise, he’s just not it—let’s stick to appreciating the visuals 😅.
It could’ve definitely been shorter.
