Splinterlands Experience in Modern Format
Greetings, everyone!
This season, I opted not to purchase the Wild season pass for the first time. Instead, I played with insufficient cards in Modern.... spending $2 to use my cards feels frustrating. It’s tough for someone who has been playing since day one, you know?

I have a good collection of cards, but many are from the old sets, which are not allowed anymore in Modern. That's the reason for staying away from the new format, and I had to start from zero, from the Wood Tier:

Two things shocked me right away: how bad the competition is in this format, and the disproportionate rewards!
Once again, using almost exclusively Soulbounded Reward cards!
I'm closing the season in Diamond III - from zero to hero in less than three weeks - with better rewards than before.
Sorry guys, but this is broken!

How much does the rewards change in Wild?
I started playing again a week ago, I've only played Modern Ranked and I don't know if it's worth the pass.
With Wild, I was barely breaking even with the $2 tax for the season. In Modern, I've seen SPS rewards 1.5x times better than the one Wild - and no tax.
It's tough to break even with the Wild pass costs. I think it's the smart move to do so, but I think the new set is coming out soon so I feel that my deck will get weaker when it does. Modern rewards even out a bit after you move up.
