Toasting to the holiday season - maximum fun, minimum stress!
Indias corporate culture is quite complicated. I have been to that culture more than 15 years. It is pretry good amount of time. There are always many pros and cons working for private corporate. While they offer some of the best lucrative pay packages but at the same time when it comes to leaves or holidays, the employee get bonded with their responsibility and accountability towards the organisational goals. There were many instances when employee feel restricted and unable to maintain their #worklife balances. Everyone needs a break in life from time to time. But the corporte isn't made to suit the Indian workers.

I remember an instances in 2015, when many of us were partying and getting ready to welcome new year, I was on the deserted Delhi roads, travelling back to home from office. Not only me there were many of our team member too and I am feeling pity for all of us. Many a times we get over loaded with works that we unable to take a breaks or leaves to enjoy life and this makes life complicated. Surviving in such situation needs a lot of patience and peace to see off the working time. Even we were not spare on the weekends. The companies woos the employee with higher perks for working on weekends, or make it must for all to work on weekends to complete the tasks. These were some of my personal experiences that still haunts time to time.
Taking regular breaks from our routine stuff is necessary as it gelps us to refresh ourself and make us more focus and active in life. A break from work is important in life, if we really want to manage stress and avoid burnout. Regular breaks, including holidays, or weekends can help prevent burnout, improve the concentration level, and enhance focus. When employees return to work after a break, their performance gets more sharper, and they accomplish tasks more efficiently. In a corporate environment, the usual working patern reveals that in 5 days of week, Monday always use to hectic, so does Tuesday and Wednesdsy. Things getting lighter as we started nearing Thursday and Friday. But again many a times employees were forced to work on weekends looking at the needs of the organisational goals.

A worker in India genrally gets 22 paid leaves apart from the regular festival holidays. India being a land of festival, still only 9 ocassion were fixed holidays in a calendar years. Still sometimes feels these fells short. There were number of other festivals, where a worker like to take leave. Like Raksha Bandhan. An ocassion for siblings, the day of brother and sister bonding still I have seen people working in office. They either visit the sister or brothers home at night, after completing office task. Then again at Navratri festival. It is a 9 days festival but only 1 days were allowed for holiday. While many person like to observe fast and worship for entire 9 days. They were allowed to enjoy holiday only on the last day of the auspicious period. Again during any specific events like sports, world cup events which is kind of thrilling time, we should have a proper holidays to enjoy with our loved one rather than sitting at office and caught ourself between work and that particular events.
I remember, watching Cricket world cup final at office in middle of work pressure is no fun. We need to feel adraline and such thing is not possible while work. I belive we should get a day off or partial day to enjoy the moment.
There are so many ocassion to celebrate and enjoy but not everytime it is feasible from companies prospective to alow leave all the time. It all depends upon the work force to work wisely. If we keep doing our regular work without leaving anything pending or for later period then definitely, we could get the liberty to some more holidays than regular. After all work is worship.
Peace!!

Bahut sahi likha hain aapne ... maine bhi aapni job resign kar di ti... no doubt ki package acha ta.. but work load bhi bahut.. during weekends, actually it was WFH..
Naukari means naukar bana hi dete hain 😂😂
Time spent with family to enjoy special events is one of it kind. it strengthen bonds and leave a long lasting memory.
The search for balance between work, rest and fun is sometimes complicated depending on the type of work but also on oneself. We should not only think about work. Without those moments of rest it is difficult to continue .... balance.
Aĥhhh golden words ....afterll everyone needs a break. And break help us to relax....
Without rest, no progress can be made, no energy is possible.
India and Pakistan are on the same page in the corporate sector. Workers although given good packages are not given fair chances of holidays. We should make a proper system for them. I have seen a labor administrator also fail in it.
