Safety isn't expensive, it's priceless [Protect the loved ones]

I remember my childhood days, we used to live a carefree lives, because we have our parents and elder around us to looks after. Be it in crowd or in roads or while in journey, the more careless we used to be the more alertnour parent used to be. They were always there to protect us from adversity. My Dad always used to holds my hands, whenever we were trying to cross roads. Those were enough to insure our safety. Infact that is clear sign of being protected by our loved ones. This is a normal tendencies that we often used to see human beings or even at family.

At time of social media, we often comes across of several viral videos, about how the animals showing utmost care for their family members. Be it a ducks crossing the roads or herd of elephants securing their calf in between their group. The desire to protect our loved ones is a fundamental instinct that develops from empathy, attachment, past experiences, and cultural behaviours. It is a complex interplay of human nature and experiences that drives this urge to safeguard the well-being of our loved ones. This natural instinct is deeply rooted in our evolutionary history as social creatures. Being a social animal protectingnour loved ones always comes first. We have so many real life instances, like prioritizing the loved in ones at times of their need, or donating body organs tonprotect some family members etc. I have a similar instances with my Dad during his final days but never considered it to be a act of careing. It was just my internal instint that made me to leave my jobs for him. I have already talked a lot about it, so not going to continue talking about it again.

I wanted to do as much as possible and i did my best in his last days. I do not want to measure it in terms of sacrifices. Measuring my own act does not goes well, when it comes to family member. Family comes first, especially when it comes to our parent. The more we do the lessor it would be. Or in our culture we do not have any scale to measure any efforts that laid out for the parents. They are the reason for our existence , our upbringing, our education. We always remain in debt for all of their deeds towards us. I only knows that, If we have a high level of empathy, we may feel a strong desire to protect and support others. Sometimes we end up crossing our own limits. The ability to understand and share the feelings of another person, plays a significant role in this desire to protect. It must comes naturally and not been forced upon.

We are emotionally attached to our loved ones this infuse a strong sense of responsibility and a desire to keep them safe and happy at every point of life. Be it earning livlihood to make daily ends meet, or protecting through different other means. We must make sure to protect our loved ones. There are different way through which a person can take care of their loved ones :

  • always spend time together to develop a sense of your existence with your loved ones.
  • always respect and listen to each other. Avoiding their talks may create disconnect.
  • always maintain their privacy. Do not make your persinal matter in public

Few things, that I did during my stay with my Dad.

  • I alwsys spend as much as time as possible.
  • old age person always seek support and someone to talk to avoid their loneliness.
  • I alwsys try to keep him.happy, wither through stories or some puns act. It comes naturally to me.
  • I try to make sure he was not in any discomfort.

And many other things, which I think is not in new generstion books. Well as much as I did, I still feel that I lacked many things to do. Whenever I remember it made me feel sad. But eventually we are so emotionally attached we cannot do much but just regret not to have more time with him. I think this foes to all loved ones, and when the situation arises, we naturally get all the strength to make things possible in all ways.

Peace!

How right you are that if we have empathy for others it will be easier to protect and help. It happened to me even with people who were not my family. But of course with my mother it happens to me all the time, looking out for her.🤗

We can be watchful and protective towards others even those who are not our close relatives. Those who are older have a responsibility to watch out for the younger careless ones.
