We have comes a long way in the last few decades. Thanks to different technological advancement, that let us see some ground breaking working concept at manh places. It has set a different level of atmosphere. From manual work process to digital mode to alternate working mode. Everything seems so easy and established, that define the working atmosphere to a all new heights. Especially the way, people are slowly getting habitual to remote or alternate work place. Well many are not aware of it but, if we need to give a simple definition than it refers to "where employee work, that is not in an office and how that environment Supports their productivity."

Business Continuity Plan

"Alternative workplace” focused more specifically on alternatives to actual working in an office. The trend that many people learned and ecperinced later since the #covid outbreak. But the root of this concept is quite deep. We have seen various concept earlier but never laid out its immense importance in our later days. I was basically introduced to this kind of concept during a BCP testing in 2006 for my office.
Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is a regular mocks test conducts by the MNC in order to smooth functioning of their work ay times of emergency or natural disaster. Under this concept, we use to make sure that at time of emergency, our work does not get hamper, and everything can be managed from any other location. Or from companies different set up. I remember, going to different office building making sure that our works, software, telecom, everything is accessible and working smoothly. Companies never wants to compromise on their productivity. And this BCP program was quite a new thing for me, but it was interesting to see how technology is transforming human lives.

Coffee cafe day

The launch of "Coffee cafe day" , one of the biggest chain of coffee restaurant was establishef in same line of business. The founder find people working from at the comfort of coffee houses. These coffee houses provides their own spaced alongwith secured wifi / internet services along with the peaceful atmosphere to allow people to sit in their restaurant and work. Many free lancers can be seen enjoying the work, while sipping hot coffee at these places. These set up makes sure to provide a healthy work atmosphere and slowly becomes a good point of budiness meeting.

No compromise with Profuctivity

A company never wants to compromise on their productivity. They needs the best of their employee in every possible way. The concept of alternate or remote place of working is not new. But the increasing competition and higher productivity approach made this concept quite common now a days. Especially after the covid outbreak. Many employees were provided with the Companies laptop, softwares and also VPN so that the work does not get hamper. The covid outbreak made People's to work from the comfort of home and slowly they started liking the concept that now they are hesitant to go back to office atmosphere. Even after so many years, many companies allows their employee to work from the actual office spaces.

There are always some positive as well as negative aspect and this alternate office option too have similar outcomes. While the companies sees this as a major cost reduction in terms of office rental expenses. At the same time, the employees find it too flexible to work from their comfort. But at times they too get distracted with various personal stuffs while carrying out companies job. However the companies means Business and they know how to take out their work, either in normal hours our stretched hours.

Good to see how these concepts were carried forward in coming days. And who will be the actual winner the employer or the employees.
