No animals were harmed in the making of this "content".

It was today morning, that I came across a funny WhatsApp video on my mobile. It was a discussion between a follower and a preacher about eating meats or not. While the follower was advocating for flesh foods, on the other hand the Preacher was against it. It was an interesting little banter between the two. I find both of them were correct in their own grounds. Herr I am trying to sum up in my own word:

While the follower with his own verdicts arguing that, the human teeth structure are meant to be like of flesh eating animals. Those animals like goat or cow etc who do not eat flesh have a flat teeth while the animal like dogs, lions who eats flesh have canine teeth. And human teeth comes with canine so human are made to eat flesh.
On this the Preacher, replied him saying that, animals likes of dogs and lions drinks water with their tongue by Licking. On the other hand, the goats and cows drink by gulping water through lips. And humans too drink water through lips and gulping. So why not to be a vegetarian

There has alwsys been a long running argument between being vegetarian and non vegetarian. And now people have get into a third segment of being vegan, i.e completelly absenting from any products derive through animals.

Honestly I am not a follower nor a Preacher, I like to eat whatever I feel ok. I am more of a vegetarian and ocassionally tried non vegetarian food. The recent concept of being vegan is out of my context. People have chosen this to stop cruelty against animals. But what is the definition of cruelty? I have an instance not related to food but, I thinks it is good to share here.
Few years, ago, we had a terrible monkey menace in our ares. Day or night they alwsys crested ruckus everywhere. To get rid of it, we bring in the black faced Langoors. Monkey generally ran away from the presence of Langoors. And the idea worked and soon we get rid of monkeys. The langoor stayed back with us as our pet in the apartment. Everyone take care of it like their own family. We arranged for its shed, blankets and food. Now one day someone filed a case against the appartment for animal cruelty. For illegally confining the animals in residential area.

This made me to wonder how and in what sense it was animal cruelty? It was for our safety and we are treating him quite lovingly.

Now coming back the foodie topic, people who are eating flesh or meat are considered as animal cruelty. However this has been a aged long practice at many places. People were dependent on these meats for their foods. They survived and were well built and healthy, than us. They life expectancy were far better than nowadays. Those who were turning to vegan or vegetarian were too part of those genes. Now if nothing has happened to our older generation , how turning to differrnt mode of eating will change. May be the changing and sofisticated lifestyle ask for some new way of living.

taste matters.

I am not a hard-core meat lover. I prefer a simple vegetarian dish that gives me immense satisfaction. Curd rice or yellow rice being my favourite. This is how a curd rice looks like.

This is boiled rice, mixed with curd and garnish with little tadka.
This is kind of adding seasoning to the dish, hot oil or ghee, letting them swell, and then adding them to the dish. This process adds an extra layer of flavor and texture to many Indian dishes.

No offence to anyone. My dad alwsys used to say that there is limit of everything. Might one day we will see a change of attitude in people life.

This is my Day 19 entry for Inleo Writing Prompt for the m/o March.

Peace!!

The Taste perspective has been changed entirely for me since i getting more deep and creative with veggies. South Indian food is my weakness. A hot steaming Bowl of Sambhar is just a heaven's satisfaction for me. But again it's all about personal choice and reasoning. !PIZZA

I'm not a big fan of meat, but I do eat a variety of meats. But vegetables are very healthy and I love fruit. I eat a lot of variety, but that last dish looks delicious!

That dish is my favourite....I shared it with an alien and she also liked it....😜 ....I am not completelly against meat, but wondering how the changing generation is bringing changed even when the people of yesteryear were far more healthier and strong, I think they were more meat dependent

My grandparents for example were country people and ate a lot of meat, they were healthy and long-lived.... the issue today is that people eat very badly, and stress.

Old generation were strong as they eat all kind of food and easily digest them through hard work or physical efforts ....nothing like of today's generation, where they eat in lump sum and sat whole day at the AC comfort

truly, no one is right, the best option is to choose what works best for you and not criticize others about their choices as long as it's not causing harm to anyone.

Agree...deriving food by killing is not a good things, but how could define the practices that were carried out since long....donpeople want to get over the old tradition at many places....just to live as per trends

when I was born, I met the practice of killing animal for meat. These are animals for God's sake and not human beings. Most times, I feel for them but there's nothing I can do but to follow the trend and get meat for my meals. As much as I love vegan meals, I do not hesitate to add meat to my food as well. This argument, I am not siding anyone.. everyone should choose what he or she believes

Everyone have their own preference and choices, you cannot force your choices to anyone. ...but things are changing very rapidly and so does people choices...May be we could see an end to cruelity sooner
