Loading up for some gun fun [One shot, one kill]

We all get fascinated with Guns. I think most of the person were introduced to Guns at an early stage of life. Infact, If I recall it correctly, as a kid out of all the toys, Guns used to be our favourite toys. We can say, that most of us were introduced to Firearms since our childhood.I can say this after watching many kids passion to own a Gun. My 8 years old nephew is so passionate for guns that whenever he goes out he always look out for Gun toys. This ultimately results in increasing the craze for Guns. But it remain a question how much we as a parent justify by doing so?

One of my nephew recently bought a licenced revolver. Although he does not have security risk, it was just his passion to own one. The first thing that I told him is to keep it away or better not to carry with him. The reason being, at times he get super hyper and may end up misusing the firearms. Carrying a firearms is a swag, but people see it as a style statement. But it is now a trend among many people. No wonder, playing with Guns have own risks.

Recently, we have seen excessive use of firearms at differrnt places. There are many cultural, political, and economic factors have contributed to the increasing obsession with firearms over the time. It used to be a police things, but slowly political parties get hold of it for own security and then it pass on to parties differrnt cadre and then again to common civilians. Just in the name of defence, and then to swag, many people own their own guns.

We always comes upon many news of aggressive use of Guns in US or other places. Kids as young as 14 years get themselves in problem by just swinging Guns all around. Guns' importance to their owners now goes much deeper than merely being implements of self-defense. Owning a guns provide both a feeling of physical security and a sense of psychological solace. There are instances, when many accidents or shootout happens, just because people are ignorant about the misuse of these guns. In India, carrying a Gun or rifle in marriages is getting common, and many a times it ends up with fatal accidents. Gun owners genuinely belivery that possessing a gun makes them safer. This belief is supported by published claims that where there are “more guns”, there is “less crime”. However this theory stands false, as more guns leads to more accidents and shoutouts.

Adding more woes is the aggressive video gaming , which made extensive use of firearms. As people spend most time into games they get addicted with differrnt firearms and may end up in owning one. And at times make improper use. It is in no one hands to put a check in situation when people carries a firearms with them. At the end they end up messing up.

Considering, the fatal outcome most of the time, I personally belive the increasing use of Guns by the common people is a serious concern. I can see anyone can get hold of one easily. Even though they do not have any use. Like my nephew. The corruption too adding more woes as the political influences makes easy reach to these firearms. With such situation cropping up, it is going to be a serious threat for humanity. Needs tonput some strict check before making it easily available to people.

Human behaviors are uncertain, they can react to differrnt situation differently. We never know how safe one could be if they have accomplice in possesion of guns. Better keep distant. It is not a toy anymore.

This is my Day 14 entry for Inleo Writing Prompt for the m/o March.

This belief is supported by published claims that where there are “more guns”, there is “less crime”

Whether viloelnce flow from the xistence of a weapon or gun or gun is just the concequence of inherent conflict between humans...

Once something invested can not be retracted, the only feasibly way is to regulate it.

People getting liscence even without the genuine needs exposes the regulatory loopholes.

The truth is worrying that more and more people have firearms, I don't deny that I like them.

My maternal grandfather went hunting and had guns, he died when I was 7 years old, I could never go with him but although I never had one, I like them... but I don't think I would have one.

It's true what you say, the more guns the more accidents, society... where it goes...
