Knowledge drives innovation, but wisdom dictates its use.

Few days ago, I was reading an articles on hive which states how the platform. Has evolved over the years. What began as a decentralized platform by few developers for content now shaped into more of a reward linked program and various other things that has taken place. In-fact there were many instances of misdeed , mis representation by the user to make use of the reward pool. Apart from the various scamming that does happen from time to time. The platform was built on a good intention but gradually the new mind and brains using the platform has taken to a new level. It is worth noting that basically the invention was on right path but it diverted and strayed later on by the users. So the invention and its usage depends upon the mind of the people who uses them.

We can easily relate the scenario, through the simple example of mother nature and the mankind. Humans have misusing Mother Nature through the ages. They did so primarily through reckless exploitation of natural resources, pollution, and destruction of habitats, These actions disrupt the delicate balance of ecosystems, leading to consequences such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and the spread of diseases. Ultimately its wrath of the nature were faced by no one other than the human himself. Likewise, an invention which is made solely with good intentions gradually declines its worth if it gets into the wrong hand who try to manipulate them for undue advantages.

Invented for greatness, used for...

Notably, there are many instances when an invention which were invented for some good reason were made to use for different purpose. The more recent example being use of #drones. While it was designed for civilian photography and logistics, they are used for military purposes and anonymous attacks. we have seen how it is causing devastation in various wars*. New inventions have frequently been mis-utilized or applied in ways that caused unforeseen harm, ranging from environmental damage to ethical crises and physical safety failures. The good minds always comes up with good intentions but there are bad minds that make use of the good minds for wrong purposes. Blaming the good minds for all the wrongful doing is going to be string ethical discussion.

Accountability: The secret ingredient in innovation

It should be noted facts that, while the person who is mis-utilizing the invention is primarily responsible, in the modern age, developers who knowingly or negligently enable the misuse of their technology are increasingly being called to account. When inventions are used by perpetrators, responsibility is rarely absolute and often distributed across several parties, depending on the foresight of the creator, the intent of the user. While the immediate moral and legal blame lies with the perpetrator using the tool for malicious purposes, modern ethics and law also look at developers and corporations involved in the technology's life cycle. Inventors and engineers have an ethical duty to anticipate misuse and build in safeguards, making them partially accountable for how their inventions are deployed.
