Importance of attending function even at scorching heat.

Traveling on a scorching hot afternoon is never going to easy. As we entered into the Jyeshta month we started to feel the heat. Going out in open during the day time requires a lot of courage at the same time a little carelessness may end up with bad health. Yesterday was one of those day, when we went out to attend a family function and ended up with severe heat stroke later in the day.

Jyeshtha (Jeth) month is often considered the hottest in India because it coincides with the peak of the summer season (Grīṣma). This period, roughly spanning May and June, sees extremely high temperatures. During Jyeshtha, temperatures can soar, with some locations experiencing extreme heatwaves. I took all the precaution by covering myself with all kind of cotton cloth, still lose all my energy by end of tje day. I began my travelling around 8 AM but by 11 AM the heat took a heavy toll on my body.

While many people often like to stay indoors there are certain circumstances that may push people to go out in such a hot weather. In my case, I haave to attend a house warming get together at a far away location. Even though it is not as important as it seems but there is no scope of neglecting such event, when the other parties always attended your function. There is a tit-for-tat relationship that exist among different relatives.

I have a bigger clan of relatives and making sure to keep the relationship intact, pushed me to go out of the comfort to attend the function. Attending family gatherings and maintaining relationships with relatives is crucial for several reasons, including support, emotional well-being, and the preservation of cultural heritage. The person who gave me the invitation was an aged person. He was the father in law of my nephew. He invited me twice, once personally then over the phone. Saying no to such request was not possible at all. Aftedall, being a part of the relatives, he always stood by us at different times. Now it pay back time which made me to attend his function at home. So covered my head with towel, putting the helmet, and covering the nose to avoid inhaling warm air, I went on to attend the gathering.

In between my journey, I stopped at multiple location to stay cool. For once I wanted to give up after experiencing so much heat. But considering they were part of extended family, I keep going. Family members are often the primary source of support, providing emotional comfort, validation, and encouragement. They can help us navigate difficult times and feel less alone. Family connections often extend beyond immediate relatives, encompassing a wider network of kin who can help us understand our cultural heritage and family history. Relatives can provide a valuable social network, especially during times of need or transition. They can offer practical help, advice, or even financial assistance. Maintaining relationships with family members can have a positive impact on mental health, reducing the risk of depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

My best companion for the journey, was the rough and tough bullet. Tye bike does not allow me to get tired but Tye extreme heat exhausted me mentally and physically. But after good ride and travelling for hours, I made it to the place. It was fun filled event, but later on I felt thr need to rest and ultimately gave up. I took a long sleep, which does not allow me stay active and I missed a good 24 hrs on #hive. Hope to pull back my rhythm back. The back to back function seriously taken a heavy toll on mind and body. I am looking for a much needed break sooner to refresh.

In good faith - Peace!!

That's a nice looking bike! I can't imagine heat like that. We get maybe one or two days a year where the temps go over 100 and the heat index is high due to the humidity, but they are pretty area. A whole month of it would kill me!

Wow, that sounds like an intense day. Hats off to you for pushing through that crazy heat and still making it to the function. Family obligation's can be tough, especially when the weather's working against you. Really shows how much you value those relationships.
