Today, I went onto looking for a second hand shop in local market. The cost of new books are so high, that average people are dependent on used books. We have many online portal for such used book, but I was looking to buy book in good condition. I heard of such books store in the city, but never been to such place. Finally, I found one store with many books scattered everywhere. Finding the shops was easy, but for a moment I was afraid, if I can find the books I needed in those big stack of books. But thanks to the shopkeeper, he was quick to find one for me.
Nai sadak in old Delhi, near Chandi Chowk is very famous market for old book. One can easily find any books on the street of Nai Sadak. From academic course book, to universities bookz to various novel. It was a good place for used book reader. The book that many people sell to scrap dealer reached to these shopkeeper. Then the books were sold at a reasonable rate to other customer. It is a complete channel that starts from a household and ended up to another house. The book lover does not mind reading used books as they are more concerned about the content than the smell of the fresh pages. Today I got the book at 50 % discount rate, which saves me a lot and prove handy on spending on other item.
Using second hand book have multiple benefits. The foremost being the cost effective. Used books are generally cheaper than new ones, allowing students to save money on textbooks and potentially purchase more books. Students can save a considerable amount of money by opting for pre-owned books, allowing them to allocate those savings towards other expenses or purchase additional study materials. The other benefits include environmental saving. By choosing used books, individuals can contribute to a more sustainable and eco-friendly approach to learning. Some used books may contain helpful notes, highlights, or marginalia from previous readers, which can offer valuable insights or perspectives on the subject matter. These annotations can act as study aids, highlighting key concepts or providing alternative interpretations.
People sometimes hesitate to study from used books due to potential concerns about their condition, missing pages, or outdated information. Some.velive that the learning will stop if we use the old books. However, old books can provide a deeper understanding of knowledge and perspectives that go beyond contemporary ideas and perceptions. They help us make sense of the past and understand the present better.
Overall, buying secondhand books offers a great way to save money, support sustainability, and explore a wider range of reading materials. The benefits extend beyond just the books themselves, impacting the environment, local communities, and even encouraging a love of reading in more people.
In good faith - Peace!!

I love buying new books too but i keep my old books because it is important to me and has a sentimental value for me.
It’s so heartwarming to know that even in today’s high-tech, digital age, there are still people who appreciate actual, physical books. I personally love books—whether they’re brand new or not doesn’t matter to me. After all, the content remains the same. When I was younger, I used to buy secondhand books from BookSale. They offered a wide range, from older editions to more updated ones. I preferred buying there because the prices were more affordable than brand new books, and most of them were still in very good condition.
