Ever since social media comes into picture many youth spend time on differrnt social media platform either for content watching or to make different content. Recently, my nephew #facebook acount get monetized. He received his first monthly income in USD. He was happy, even though he is not regular on facebook but due to his business account which he uses for his business purpose his account gets monetized. It becomes a good source of passive income. Just like him many other young enthusiasts wants tbeir account gets monetized which makes them to earn handsomely at minimum effort. To monetize a social media account, you generally need a substantial and engaged audience, authentic content, and compliance with platform policies. You can then explore various monetization methods like sponsored posts, affiliate marketing, selling products, or offering subscriptions. Here are the various requirement of popular social media accounts
Instagram:
To use Instagram's monetization features like Subscriptions and Badges, you must be aged 18+, have at least 10,000 followers on a professional or business account, and comply with the platform's policies.
YouTube:
To monetize your YouTube channel, you need to meet the following requirements: 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 valid public watch hours in the past 12 months, or 1 million Shorts views in the last 90 days.
Facebook:
To earn money from Facebook Stars, you must meet the Community Standards, have 500 followers for at least 30 consecutive days, reside in an eligible country, and agree to the Stars Terms and Conditions.
TikTok:
TikTok's creator program has its own qualification requirements, including 10K+ followers and 100K+ video views in the last 30 days.
Other platform have their own basic requirement. Once the user fulfill these criteria, their account gets monetized and they start deriving handsome money. I have seen many users getting good monthly income just by sharing their daily life over differrnt platform. And some goes beyond limit to risk their life just to make content. Which in my opinion is completelly insane.
The young aspirants have seen these social media as an easy money making source and devoted much time in making their account. They spend hours watching differrnt content and then try make one, for their account. On the account gets monetized they wanted to put more efforts in garnering more views to get more money. But in Jesuit to stardom they are leaving behind many things in life. They are focusing more on money and forgetting about studies and career. Even some started neglected their parent in glamorous stardom. These individuals started to be called as influencer, but in what sense. There are very few of them who inspire others and many account who just bring waste content to accumulate money. Monetizing harmful content moves the perspective from freedom to fairness, highlighting social media contracts' potential role in protecting users, exposed to online harms driven by content monetisation practices.
Successfully monetizing social media requires significant time and effort, including content creation, engagement management, and advertising, which can be a considerable burden for creators. Sometimes many user unable to bear the pressure of fulfilling the criteria may ends up with their life, by taking some extreme measures. Social media appears to be an easy way of making quick bucks but it has multiple losses which the youth unable to identify. Once they relive what they have lost in lifebit get pretty late to take a step back. There is a quite a dark side of getting your social media account monetized. As it can never be a regular source of income. People should focus more on finding way to get regular source of income rather than wasting time and effort on temporary source.

You know, I'm not the kind of person that requires a lot of money to be happy, but there is definitely something to be said for not having to worry about major expenses or incidents putting you in debt!
That true...enough tonsustain our life easily...anythin̈g excess is alwsys harmful.
Social media monetization has made scrolling online, and being active and sharing content has become beneficial to the creator. It does require so much effort, but the focus on it solely can be bad.
Well it makes money for the creator it wastes lot of time for the viewer, as they get nothing except wasting their precious time.

Admittedly, being a good content creator on the networks requires some skills and discipline, and that has its merits. However, I agree with what you say at the end, about how beneficial it is also those sources of income from our regular jobs. They are something that also leads to growth as an individual and a decent source of income. Regards @steemflow
I belive easy waynof money may end of spoiling the career of young lads. The social media are just a glamorous lifestyle you cannot guarantee lifetime source from it
Monetizing social media is awesome for passive income because it is very fun to make some money while doing basic things online for the views and I feel very sad when people lament that it's the only way they are able to cater for their needs whenever their account gets banned or even worse, hacked. They tend to lose everything and have to start from scratch.
