Choosing to live a more eco-friendly life.

Last month my cousin was quite worried about his kids school admission. There is no challenge as such in the admission process that a parents face in big cities. We have a government running school near our home, but looking at the education system in government school he was looking for Private school option. There is only one private school in the vicinity expanding 20-25 kilometre radius. He was eager to get his son admission in that school. The school was over crowded with many parents sending tbeir kid in that school. He asked me my input and I strongly disagree with his decision. The reason, the environment is not idle for the kids. It is same as making him study in the government school.

My logic of disgreement was over the envoronment factors. Being only school in the vicinity, most peoole of the nearby villages get their ward admitted in the same school, as a result the environment is same as those of a government school. When we want our kids to study in a good school, we alwsys aims at loking a overall growth of the children. A school is a place, where the kids may learn many things, and influenced mostly with their peers. Having kids of differrnt background allows the kids to see the world in a better way. This is environment is very critical factors, when we want growth of a child. Apart from the school example I just shared, any environment plays a crucial role in our survival and well being. Even we alwsys want to live in a better society supporting good environment. Also, we want a better environment to sustain our life.

If we consider our natural environment, then, the environment provides the basic necessities for human life, including clean air, water, and food. The environment supports ecosystems that provide vital services like pollination, nutrient cycling, and climate regulation. A healthy environment supports a wide range of plant and animal life, which is essential for the stability and resilience of ecosystems. The environment provides beauty, inspiration, and opportunities for recreation, contributing to overall well-being. This is why people alwsys seek to live in a healthy environment.

A healthy environment refers to the physical, social, and behavioral surroundings that support human well-being and health, including clean air, water, and food, as well as safe and secure spaces. It encompasses everything outside of individuals, impacting their physical, mental, and social health. Environments free from hazards like pollution, crime, and unsafe infrastructure are essential for physical and psychological safety. There are many reasons that supports healthy environment :

• A healthy environment can prevent many diseases and improve overall health outcomes.

• A healthy environment can enhance people's quality of life, reduce stress, and promote mental well-being.

• A healthy environment is a prerequisite for sustainable development and a healthy planet.

A healthy environment incorporates elements that support human well-being, including clean air and water, sanitation, safe and healthy workplaces, and access to nutritious food. It also encompasses a stable climate, protection from harmful substances like radiation and chemicals, and a healthy ecosystem with biodiversity. A healthy environment includes the built environment, such as health-supportive cities and communities, and access to green spaces. Many a times it is onus on us tonwork for a healthy environment. If the condition is not suitable for living then we should work for the betterment. Every steps matter, the more we work for the betterment, the better it is for our sustainability.
