Almost every project on HE is also centralized, to the full extent that it actually matters. Sure, you can dump your token but they don't really have any ongoing value if the project owner disappears. You have to be the first to spot the problem if you want anything close to full value.
There have been some instances where a third party has successfully revived a failing project, but it has typically been effective only when they could get a key handoff for the issuing accounts (still centralized, new management).

I agree that almost all projects on HE are centralized. The risk is there, and I have seen quite a few projects disappear after the owners have disappeared. I agree that you have to spot the issue and sell out when it has value before the problems happen. I think HSBI is great as it is and I don't have any reason to sell any units right now. I have collected some HSBI from being active on chain, and the project runs smoothly. I also don't have enough units that I am worried about it.
We have hopes to formalize a DAO and transition to decentralize governance at some point, but we do not have any active development underway at this time.
