Hivechess Season 19 Final Results: @sammy00, @lighteye and @stayoutoftherz are the new Champions

Dear chess fans,

yesterday the final round 12 of season 19 was played. It was a 4+1 Swiss tournament over 9 rounds with 23 players participating. Welcome back, @maciejficek!

@mundocuriosidad (Tonystar111) won confidently - as the only player undefeated - with 8,5/9 points. I was the runner-up (thanks to a nerve-wracking time-scramble against @kintokris and an untypical blunder from @rosmarly) with 7/9. Third was @kintokris ex aequo in points, followed by @dhilan04.
Congratulations to All!

In tournament 1 there were no changes anymore in the top ranks, but in tournament 2 @masterswatch could gain the second place from @justfavour, so his chase was at least partly successful. Only @lighteye could stop him thanks to a very decently and consistently played season (4th overall place!!). In tournament 3 I could overtake @dhilan04 in the last round by just one single point! I think a decision has never been so close on Hivechess!

For the rules please refer to the announcement post.

Congratulations to the new champions but also to all participants!

Season stats

In season 19 in total only 38 players were participating (4 players less than in S18), but the average participation was with 21,5 players per round significantly higher than in the previous 3 seasons (19,5 to 19,7).

The average rating of players was 1632 in this season (compared to 1698 in S18) due to the fact that several strong players hardly showed up recently (e.g. @jaki01, @eniolw, @samostically).

The number of players who participated regularly was higher this season (e.g. only 23,7% of players played one or two rounds, last season this number was 45,2%). Because of this and because the minimum participation threshold was this season 6/12 rounds instead of 6/10, 21 players (=55%) qualify for prices (last season it was only 40% of players)!

The prizepool from the post rewards will be about 950 Hive (last season it was 799 Hive)! As always, all prizes will be transferred in app. one week, after the payout of this post (and any other posts using @chesspricepool as beneficiary). It will be again directly staked as HP to your accounts.

Thank you all for your participation & engagement (and the upvotes)!

There will be now a break and in app. January we will start again!

Thanks for joining despite your work schedule! Overall you did great this season. If you hadn´t missed 2 rounds you easily would have been no.1!

Congratulations to Tournament winner #1: @sammy00, who always play strong and very fast… :). Myself I struggle to stay focus a whole game…

Congratulations to Tournament Winner #2: @Lighteye, who lead a very strong mid field all the way, I think he is a stronger player than we know…

Very big Congratulations and thanks to @stayoutoftherz!!! A win in our Strongest field is a very big accomplishment… Also big Congrats to @dhilan04 and @rosmarly who manage to finish second and third in spite of missing some games.

Congrats to @masterswatch and @justfavour who competed strongly the whole season. Also big congratulations to @darruiz who missed two games and still finish third…

note: (SEE YOU ALL NEXT SEASON) and maybe some fun games in between...
