Tiempo de Calidad y amor junto a mi pequeña niña

El pasado viernes mi niña y yo decidimos en salir y buscar aventuras mientras esperábamos que mamá saliera de su jornada laboral y para ello elegimos ir y recorrer la Plaza Bolívar, un lugar icónico del centro de la capital de Venezuela, tan icónico a como lo es la estatua en honor al libertador Simón Bolívar.

Last Friday, my daughter and I decided to go out and have some adventures while waiting for mom to get off work. To do that, we chose to go and explore Plaza Bolívar, an iconic place in the center of the capital of Venezuela. It is as iconic as the statue in honor of the liberator Simón Bolívar.

En esta salida mi niña disfrutó mucho al ver a las palomitas, no dejaba de gritar de felicidad y de correr alrededor de la plaza, solo me repetía "Palomitas, palomita, muchas palomitas" 🕊🕊 al inicio les tuvo cierto miedo para acercarse pero supongo que era por la cantidad de palomas que habían, sin embargo le acompañé, le dije que no tuviera miedo que estaba conmigo y que las palomitas no hacían daño, que si quería las espantará corriendo detrás de ellas, luego de un momento donde tomada de mano decidió acercarse a donde estaban la mayor cantidad de palomitas logro tomar confianza y acercarse a las rendijas que separan el concreto con la zona de arboles y tierra.

On this outing, my daughter enjoyed seeing the pigeons very much. She couldn't stop screaming with happiness and running around the plaza. She just kept repeating to me, "Pigeons, pigeon, many pigeons" At first, she was a little scared to approach them, but I think it was because there were so many pigeons. However, I accompanied her, told her not to be afraid that I was with her and that the pigeons didn't hurt, that if she wanted she could scare them away by running after them. After a moment, when she took my hand and decided to approach where there were the most pigeons, she managed to gain confidence and approach the cracks that separate the concrete from the tree and earth area

Natalia como verán estuvo muy centrada viendo como las palomitas se alimentaban y como el resto de niños en la plaza disfrutaban jugando con sus padres y persiguiendo al resto de palomitas que se encontraban en la plaza, a decir verdad yo estaba encantado de como ella disfrutaba de estos momentos, hubo euforia, tranquilidad, gritos, serenidad, miedos, alegrías, todo en tan solo un corto tiempo.

Metas diarias que quizás nosotros como padres no nos damos cuenta pero gracias a estas "aventuras" nuestro hijos logran tomar confianza en si mismo, confianza en que están respaldados incluso y más aún en situaciones que son nuevas de afrontar para ellos.

As you can see, Natalia was very focused on watching the pigeons feeding and how the other children in the plaza enjoyed playing with their parents and chasing the other pigeons that were in the plaza. To tell the truth, I was delighted with how she enjoyed these moments. There was euphoria, tranquility, screams, serenity, fears, joy, all in such a short time.

Daily goals that perhaps we as parents do not realize, but thanks to these "adventures" our children gain confidence in themselves, confidence that they are supported even and more so in situations that are new to face for them.

Casi culminando nuestra estadía llegaron las ardillitas a recibir comiditas de los niños que se le acercaba, este acercamiento con Natalia no se produjo por que ciertamente las prefiere de "lejitos" pero aún así las pudo conocer y con ello aprender una nueva palabra para ella "ardillitas"

Para finalizar nos sentamos en uno de los banquitos de la plaza, le conté un poco sobre Simón Bolívar le dije en una forma sencilla de que la estatua que allí estaba representaba la de un héroe para nuestro país, puede que quizás no lo haya entendido y tampoco pretendo que lo haya hecho 😄 pero lo que si logré es que dije "Bolívar? ese es Bolívar?" y si así me preguntó varias veces 😍

As we were about to leave, the squirrels arrived to receive food from the children who approached them. Natalia did not approach them because she prefers to keep her distance, but she was still able to see them and learn a new word, "squirrels."

To finish our day, we sat on one of the benches in the plaza. I told Natalia a little about Simón Bolívar. I explained in a simple way that the statue there represented a hero for our country. She may not have understood it, and I don't expect her to have, but I did get her to say, "Bolívar? That's Bolívar?" She asked me that several times.
