My Trip to Ondo: Friends, Fun & New Experiences

Now that I am back in Abeokuta, I will like to talk about my stay at Ondo with my friend @obaro. I travelled to Ondo State to connect with my friend and also support him on a programme he was holding in courtesy of Vibes. He needed my help and I saw it was something I could manage myself regardless of the fact I don't like travelling and the expenses that come with it. I was more eager to contribute towards the vision @obaro had for Hive/Vibes.

Travelling to Ondo State made me meet a few people, and I must say I really enjoyed their company. I am talking about @iyedrumz and Wura. Although I have known these people from afar but never had the opportunity to meet them until now.

I had the opportunity to explore the Adekunle Ajasin University, which is the school at Akungba where the event was holding. Life (iyedrumz) and Obaro took me round the school for a walk for sight-seeing and getting acquainted with the school environment.

Checking around the school, I can proudly say AAUA is not a fine school. Comparing to my ex-school, Funaab, AAUA has a lot to do concerning scenerity. Hopefully, I will be able to take obaro around the University of Abeokuta (FUNAAB) to know what I am talking about.

One thing I noticed about Ondo as compared to Abeokuta is that Ogun State is more developed than Ondo State, and Akungba is like a village when you compare it to a city like Abeokuta. There is a high scarcity of water in Ondo State (a little bit exaggerated) but imagine on a Saturday morning and you see a very long queue of buckets waiting to fetch water from a well. I have never seen this happen in my school, even when there are bad water situations; it has never been as bad as what I saw at Akungba.

Now it is paining me I didn't take a picture when I saw the long queue of buckets.

Let us talk about yesterday's Sunday service. I had a really nice time at his church. I figured out that Obaro was talented at leading praise and worship and I was very touched. I could see something in him and I told him about it. Below are pictures we took after service.

Overall, I had a nice time. Obaro treated me like a king and gave me breakfast and dinner in bed. He even massaged my feet while sleeping. 😅Maybe in my dreams...

It seems as though you had a great time meeting other hivers; even if your feet were not massaged. 😀
