I think we need comment from @breakaway-dev

Several others have been able to add their BTC wallets to their existing hive accounts.

It may be that @quark.top is using a new browser to which he has newly added Xverse and Keychain.

If this is the case, (a typical issue i faced) is that he will need to refresh his chrome browser to make sure it knows that keychain and xverse are pinned properly (we will fix this in time by having a "I have pinned Keychain" button that when you click it, it refreshes the page.

Many of the errors that pop up are bugs and are not valid also. they are being worked on.

Also, your BTC wllet has been added to your Hive profile @quark.top and many of your posts are showing on the breakaway community front end for onebitcoinclub.org:

Thank you for your prompt response, @starkerz. It is certainly interesting to see it appears you are able to pull up my posts inside the UI for the One BTC Club.

    • While I did not mention it in my post, I had seen earlier than my account is listed under "Members," when I go to the website myself. I assumed, since the list has the exact same number as subscribers on the community webpage I see via PeakD, that this was simply showing that:

I will point out, though, that the BTC balance showing is incorrect, even though it is showing the correct BTC address:

Source: View of my Ledger-backed Xverse
wallet address for the One BTC Club

This additional bit of info may, perhaps, be another clue as to what I am up against.

I will also point I was an early adopter of the Brave browser and have used it successfully for years. With a number of different Chrome extensions added to it. As can be seen above, setting up the Xverse wallet went just fine, as far as anything I experienced. And I have had no other problem with Hive keychain.

As you rightly say, we'll need to see what @breakaway-dev has to say, from here. Hopefully this post and these comments will help.

Taking a look at someone else's Hive transaction, @breakaway-dev, we see this:

Source: Hive transaction

Which differs considerably from mine. If the "User data not fetched" error is due to expecting to find something in a JSON string, in a certain position inside of it, then that could well be the source of my problem.

  • For example, in the image above the first metadata value is "bitcoin." Not so in mine ... => The first metadata value is "profile"

If true, this would likely point back to Code 500 error being the source of the problem. As my post illustrates, even though a Hive confirmation dialog still appears and a Hive transaction is created, if improperly formed then that would be problematic.

Further, if the subsequent view (read comments above) incorrectly shows the linked wallet's BTC balance, that could also point you to the source of the problem. Or another related problem ...

I hope this helps.

P.S. FYI, @ecoinstant, @starkerz 👆
