How are you doing today? Yesterday was insane with one problem after another, but at least my foot feels better!

How are you feeling? How long until you hear back on the blood work? I've been looking for ways to decrease my inflammation as well and this looks really interesting. I'm really curious to see how you do.

I hope you're having a good day without a PEM crash!

Excellent that your foot feels better. Sorry you've had a hectic day filled with stress. hopefully it's over now :)

Just got my bloodwork back. Cholesterol is slightly elevated like usual just out of "normal" ranges (I've been a vegetarian for 25 years my sister the vegan also has elevated cholesterol so...) This always the case. It's never been high enough for doctors to recommend a statin before and this is all "normal" for me. Mine was 212 and 200 was the normal cur off. so ...?

They did a HS CRP test which is interesting. I have always been told my crp is normal (but my sed rate is always very elevated ). I am not sure the difference with these tests but the HS crp test is high. From looking up ranges looks like anything over 3 is not ideal. Mine is 7.9. I have no idea what that means.

Platelet count has gone up (yikes). They are screening for low platelet counts so I am good there lol

Blood sugar has gone down. My sugar is always "normal" but usually around 95. It was 85. a1c and insulin also all normal. ME patients have metabolic issues and often are pre diabetic or develop type 2 diabetes. Some of the supplements I take are shown to lower blood sugar and allow sugar and fats to be more easily metabolized. I am seeing this lower blood sugar number as as sign I am on the right path in terms of that at least.

Not sure if the cholesterol will make a difference in me getting the medication. We shall see. There is another source of rapamycin I could order from another online company that does not require this blood monitoring so I am thinking if for whatever reason I am not able to get the meds through this company, I may go to the other one. Especially since rapamycin can lower inflammation and platelet counts I do wanna get my hands on it.

Statins can lower cholesterol but also can have nasty side effects in some people. I really hope it helps lower the inflammation. The hs CRP is just high sensitivity so it picks up more precise levels than the standard CRP. That's a good thought if the other place doesn't require bloodwork, but the blood work might not be a bad idea to monitor your platelets.

What supplements do you take to lower blood sugar? Alpha lipoic acid?

oxaloacetate can lower blood sugar. Also the NAD+ is known to lower blood sugar by helping cells use it for energy (not sure what the technical term is for that-metabolize?). I take NMN and now and am switching to nad+ nasal spray .

I also take a chelated mineral supplement with chromium in it. ALA is on my list of things to try for nerve pain, didn't realize it effected bloodsugar too.

A lot of thing do affect blood sugar levels. It sounds like you are on top of the supplements. Metabolize is definitely what you were looking for! lol

I don't know anything about ALA, I'll have to look it up.

Oh and I take TMG too. I take a high potency b complex and I guess TMG is recommended for taking supplements in the b vitamin category -something about methylation .

I noticed a difference once I started adding TMG to my mix
