Splinterlands Fan Art - Merdaali Guardian

Hello again everyone! Welcome back to another Splinterlands fan art post. For this week, my subject is a Rare Unit from the Chaos Legion card set which is Merdaali Guardian. This unit has no attack power, but very useful in supporting the frontline using its Tank Heal, Repair and Strenthen skills.

For this fan art, I used the following tools and apps in creating this fan art of Merdaali Guardian.

  • Android Tablet
  • Sketchbook for Mobile

Here are the detailed step-by-step procedures for creating this fan art.

In here, I created and finalized the line art. In this image, I have already removed incorrect sketched and kinda clean it up.

In this part, I applied the base color in referense to the original character design.

In this part, using Multiply layer, I added shadow using Airbrush and Inking pens.

In this part, I used Color Dodge layer to add some glow and highlight effects.

For the background, I used hues of blue,added some corals and plants, fishes,and some bubble to add details.

Here is the result after adding the background.

And for the final step, I added some water details in the background. And below is the final output of this fan art.
