Basket of 15 Cryptos as of 06/05/2025

Back to porridge as most things are down over the past 7 days. I mean, everything is down across the board, but we had a few good weeks before that. We even saw HIVE jump to $0.29 a few hours before it's tanked back to $0.23 again. The joys!!

As you can see from above, not much has changed in the allocations of our basket, with XRP, ADA and BTC still leading. There are standouts in every tier, ADA for the top tier, XRP for 2nd tier, LTC for 3rd and LINK for the 4th. It appears that SOL is the weakest link in our 2nd tier, but we're only holding 5.85 of the 19.42 SOL we started with 2 years ago, and SOL is one of our best performers. On the flipside, ADA is our 2nd highest allocation, but we've increased our holding by over 50% compared to what we started with, so it's all seesaws and roundabouts.

There is a small increase in the XV book value this week to 3.44 HIVE. As mentioned above, HIVE mooned for a few hours, but it's down 2 cents from 7 days ago. Unless the Koreans go crazy and pump HIVE, we'll wrap this project up with a token price of over 3 HIVE, no question.

Interestingly, the recent HIVE pump came from Binance which is new, any HIVE pumps normally comes from Upbit.

We are currently sitting on a HIVE profit of 43,819. We've been floating around the 40k profit mark for the best part of a year now with the exception of a few weeks in Nov and Dec 2024. If the market tanks in the next 2 weeks and if we finish under 40k profit, I'll punch a kitten in its face.

(FYI for kitten lovers, i cant remember the last time I even saw a kitten, so unlikely to happen)

The dollar value of the basket dropped by $470 which is not good, but we've had worse weeks, and I never say never, but...it'll be almost impossible for us to lose money in terms of dollars. The below chart is profit, not total. It's been over 36 months since we were down in terms of dollars.

Round-Up

We're close to the end and in 14 days, the final XV token post will be uploaded. I'd be strange because we've all been tracking it so long, im used to writing these posts every Tuesday, and I feel like we need something to fill the void.

In other news. As we come to the end of the project, I decided to go into the trust wallet and unstake a few tokens we've been staking for rewards. My hope was to present these rewards as a "bonus" like, our basket is worth $15k but...we've also earned X amount from staking rewards. Sadly, staking rewards are paid into our balance so they are already factored in. This bummed me a little cause i was hoping for an extra few hundred dollars. We had ETH, BNB and SOL staked and because the rewards are paid into our balance, I actually have no idea how much we've earned. I guess make a guess based on the "current position" in the top chart compared to what our actual balance is, but we've been rebalanced for the first 18 months, so it would just be a guess and kinda pointless. Anyways, not that important, but I thought I'd share it.
