SPIs SP500 Investment Update - Performance since we bought in Mar 2023?

Hello SPIers, it's been a rough week for crypto with many tanking 20%+ so today we focus on 1 SPI investment that has been performing well, the SP500.

The SPI fund is focused on building its wealth through crypto investments and crypto will always be the bulk of the SPI fund but in the future when we have grown more and have more to protect, it would be smart of us to allocate a percentage of the fund into traditional stocks and precious metals as a way to preserve wealth. Further down the line, it would be nice to buy a few properties to rent but that's daydreaming at this point. We'd need to 10x the fund from today to even consider properties but someday it'll happen. We've already 12x the fund in terms of dollars since launch so it's not impossible to dream.

With this always in mind, knowing that someday SPI would need to preserve some wealth I invested $2400 into the SP500 in March 2023 to wet our beak. This is a small position that I have done so I can show an example for when we want to invest a larger amount. Pitching 8% growth to crypto folk is not an easy sell. I have done the x5 ETH margin trade for the same reason to show investors through the process so when I wanna do a big trade in 2027, you have confidence and understand the process.

With all that out of the way, let's look at our investment.

In March 2023, I bought in 3 times for a total of $2480. This investment is being held on eToro (which I do not like cause when I open the app, my phones mic makes a noise) as CDFs in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF. We bought in with no stop/loss, no take profit number and at spot (no leverage). In other words, we've bought in at spot to passively HODL.

Our position investment is worth $3362.42 which puts us at a 35.6% profit.

Not too bad for something that traditionally grows by 8-9% per year, looks like we picked a good year to jump in. With us being up over 35%, it would be safe to say we'll never lose money in this investment. I mean never say never but a bad year for crypto is everything tanks 90%, a really bad year for the stock market is things tank 20-30%.

Going forward, we will grow this position over time and when we are flush with cash. No plans for little and often growth here, the plan would be to invest larger amounts every few years and grow it like an account we cant touch for 20 years and just dump bullrun profits into.

As with everything, nothing will happen fast but our motto is "Get Rich Slow" and so far, its working ok.
