The Teranga Lions are Champions of Africa

Yesterday, the final match in the 2025 AFCON between Senegal and Morocco was played and it happened with a lot of controversies.

Towards the end of the 90mins, Senegal scored a goal and it was cancelled because according to VAR and referee, a Moroccan was fouled just on the spot the goal was scored. Then few minutes later, just the very last minute to end the game, A Moroccan player, Brahim Diaz got fouled in the 18yard box of the senagal and a penalty was awarded. Senegal refused and said it can't be so because they had a goal with the same offense and it was cancelled and why can't they overlook the offence. A very intense argument erupted and before we knew it, the Senegalese manager told his boys to leave the pitch to stop playing and that was exactly what happened. But later on, the boys returned to the pitch and allowed the penalty to be played and guess what, Brahim Diaz who took the responsibility shabishly played the penalty into Mendy’s hand. A big heartbreak for them!

Match continued into extra minutes and just at the beginning, Senegal scored through Gueye with a good bullet shot that left Bono surprised. That was it. Senagal won and not just that, almost all African countries were in support of Senegal due to how it looked like Morocco were being favoured by all means to win the cup because they're the host.
