Students Performance: An interplay of efforts from teachers, parents, students and school administrators

Good morning everyone,
Expecting a yes or no answer from today's prompt Is not specifically what might be feasible from my end, lol.
This is because I think that a lot of other important factors play a role in determining the student's performance and not just the teacher's input even though the greater percentage of the work lies with the teacher.

There is indeed a balance to the extent the teacher could go in contributing to the excellent performance of the students but then like I said, there are many other variables I think that are far from what the teacher could affect, so would you rather say a teacher who did his or her part but did not do the other parts which obviously was not her job didn't do well?
That's why for me it is really not a clear cut yes or no answer.

The Teacher:

Should be incharge of teaching the students in a way they should understand and be patient enough to make sure everyone grasps the basic, everyone won't understand a particular topic at the same time as some persons might need to read more than twice before they could grasp what others grasped inside the classroom but the teacher's responsibility lies in making sure that for all who were in attendance that day grasped the basics from where they could build on anytime they want to do their personal readings.
In doing this, the teacher employs various methods: illustrations, engagements and making himself available to clear the areas of students' confusion.

All these if found to be lacking, I will say it is indeed a loose end on the side of the teacher, however will the teacher also:

Students:

The students are charged with a greater part of their performance after the teachers because the student is the one who will make conscious effort to get better.
The student is one who will strive to know what works best for him and how many times he needs to read before he understands and apply them in getting better.

Parents:

The parents are majorly incharge of supporting the student financially throughout his stay in school because it is assumed a student who has all he needs will be left to be bothered by his books alone unlike one who's constantly thinking of how he will get money to eat a decent meal the next morning.

School Administrators:

These people are charged with creating a conducive environment for learning where students could give their best input anytime they want and also make reading materials available for them.

All these are factors that affects performance in one way or another which the teacher cannot affect in his own capacity!

However, poor performance of the students not just a student will sometimes mean there should be a revisit on the teacher's part to remodify her teaching habits a bit but in a society where everything works, the excellent performance of students not only lies on the teachers but rather a shared responsibility amongst teachers, students, parents and school authorities.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day ahead

As long as we are all agreeing that teachers have the bigger share of the blame, I won't argue with you all 😅

Though I would say teachers also have a bigger share to blame because it's their right to teach and check on their students performance, but also students are to be blame if they are not focused because if the teachers try their best to make the students understand and learn, it's also the students right to ask questions and put more effort in their education.

True.... That's why I feel the greater part of the Blame goes to the students and teachers
